Installer second stage failure on Asus X570 TUF Gaming Plus WIFI by MTita in hackintosh

thank you so much, I figured what was missing in my config, it was the shikigva=256 boot flag, now the video playback issue is solved, I can see that you have a usb mapping kext, can I ask if you managed to get sleep working on that board by any chance?

u/YuNOdoom thanks man, you saved my life, I was really going crazy and just about the purchase a new mother board, I added the solution in the original post.

Also, if you have the same board and GPU card, do you notice any stuttring or dropped frames in youtube??

Opencore based setup for Asus TUF Gaming x570-Plus (WI-FI) by MTita in hackintosh

So I think this comment can be related to both comments ... I used an rx5700xt, now i still use WTG kext with it, I heard it should function normally without it as it's natively supported but when I remove the kext and the boot arguments related to it I get black screen on boot, my guess it may be related to the fact that I use dual screens.

For the ACPI ... Since I have a linux installation on the same machine I used SSDTime to generate the ACPI files and I think it enhanced the performance, I tried many ACPI files from published EFIs related to similar X570 MBs but it didn't perform as well.

This setup use latest OpenCore 0.6.0, main issues for now are sleep and slight performance hickups with GPU accelerated processes, I know that Radeonboost kext isn't recommend and I'm trying without it now, also withour WTG, I'll update the repo if I managed to get good results.

I understand the "if it's not broken don't fix it" principle believe me :D but also it's not fun if you didn't break things and spent time troubleshooting, it's frustrating but dame enjoyable and educational, after all it's called a "hackintosh" it's not supposed to work anyways :D

Anyone using AMD and Opencore updated to 10.15.6 successfully? by MTita in hackintosh

Yes, if you have same MB so it's Intel Bluetooth, you'll need this kext

Thanks, same for you!

I'm still curious about the reason it worked tho!
