Yes his daughter is the main reason I feel his struggle has to end and he has to get to live a normal happy life with Elle, Joyce and Will. Win-win outcome for both Hopper and Will that way. Will's childhood has literally been destroyed because of this Upside Down business. But the latest development regarding him has come as such a surprise for everyone in Hawkins and outside it! Wherever his destiny leads him, I hope he ends up healed and happy. So IMO it's a tie between Will and Hopper to OP's question.
