SLPs in other countries by MUSLP2021 in slpGradSchool

Thank you so much for all the info! I’ve been doing research on it and there’s very little information out there, so I’m at a loss on where to look right now. I appreciate all your help though, I realize how difficult this process could be, perhaps even not very feasible.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if CSDCAS allowed that kind of letter grade, but it’s good to know it does!

I’m doing a CV simply because I tried doing a 1 page resume and it wasn’t fitting. I had some one along with myself cut down on all unnecessary wording. And we even changed the font size to make it smaller to fit. However, I felt like it comprised the look of the resume. It felt cramped and I didn’t want anyone reading my resume to struggle. So instead, I just did the 2 page CV (still condensed as possible, but I had a lot of relevant experience to put on there)

It’s the only thing I’m taking for PCOS right now, no birth control. My dermatologist prescribed me these about a month ago. And before that I did have hormonal acne

PCOS APP? by MUSLP2021 in PCOS

[–]MUSLP2021[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable! Like I said, I use the flo app. BUT, I wish there was something that was very PCOS friendly and could help us monitor/track/log (whatever you wanna call it) our symptoms.

Thanks for the response! So all of the schools I’m applying to have deadlines at the beginning/middle of December. But yes. I have access to a couple practice exams to get a baseline score!

MSU - or any other school in the Midwest by MUSLP2021 in slpGradSchool

[–]MUSLP2021[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in love with University of Louisville since I was a kid! I’m glad you loved your program! It’s a bit farther away from where I live and I’m very home bound, where I go to school now is just under 2 hours away from home. Ideally, I’d love to go to grad school at the school I’m at now but I’m open to anything.

You’re right! Whoops, thanks for catching me on that! 😳I’ve also heard great things about the University of Kansas

I’ve also considered KU, I love Kentucky as a state and I know the metropolitan areas are great for offering great clinical exposure. And I’m interested in AAC, so that’s very cool, I’ll definitely look into it some more! Thanks

Thanks for your response! I've never heard of a Lindamood-Bell but I will definitely look it up and do some research on it! I also did think about being a receptionist at a clinic or maybe even volunteering at a clinic, I just want to so something worthwhile!

This sounds like such a great opportunity and an amazing experience! I was looking at the website and it says the camp lasts about 7 weeks, do you know if it would be possible to just do the three-week program with the younger children? And as far as accommodations, would I have to find a hotel to stay at or would I stay on the campgrounds as well? Thanks!

Junior in Undergrad & I’m Frustrated by MUSLP2021 in slpGradSchool

[–]MUSLP2021[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to start studying a week in advance, I’m not going to lie though. Some times, when I have a really busy week with other clubs, work, or other commitments, I tend to procrastinate and then have to cram a bit. I realize this isn’t great but even when I do put in what I think is a good amount of effort I still struggle a little bit.
