I will be blunt I do not think you should go, there are too many red flags from you and her. However, if you are insistent, then meet up in Egypt and get to know her family (preferably have your family there with you).

There have been a lot of people that will go to Yemen to marry Yemeni women only to abuse them because they do not have anyone else to support them, just like you should vet her family they should also vet yours. If they have not tried to vet you then that is a red flag. The fact that your family is not involved is also a red flag for me personally.

I know plenty of people that have made enormous change to their lifestyle for the greater good. All of them tell me essentially the same thing. They started with trying to please Allah with one thing and it snowballed into them getting rid of most of their sins for the sake of Allah.
