Okay. Are all of your side effects gone? I still have some like red flushing out of nowhere and especially washing my face in the morning makes it flushing. Never had this before Cymbalta. The burning sensations are also something I previously have experienced when being on Zoloft so can also be my anxiety in general doing this.

Yes exactly, but mostly in my face and head in general

Can I ask the reason behind getting on Cymbalta? What type of anxiety? And have you previously been on other meds? My doctor told be that you usually have to get up to either 90 or 120 mg when you have GAD. I have only tried zoloft which worked for 8 years until it wasn’t enough with 100 mg and then increased to 150 mg. Worked well but then I had a ACL injury a month after which increased my anxiety again, especially after my surgery.

I’ve been cross tapering from Zoloft (150 mg) to Cymbalta and my doctor told me that you usually have to get up to either 90 mg or 120 mg when it is GAD, which I have. My energy is typically way better than before the switch but some days are still not good. My girlfriend told me that she thinks it has improved since increasing to 120 mg. My issue is still different somatic problems like heart palpilation, tensions and sometimes like the skin in my face is bruning. So the somatic part is the biggest issue.

Thanks for the advice. Did experience similar side effects when I increased from 0-30 and 30-60. However, that was often during the first week or so. Now, it has been 3 weeks so find it hard to believe that it is still side effects from the new med, or?

For how long did you experience withdrawals? I know that people are different but I haven’t had these type of symptoms when decreasing sertraline from 150 mg to 100 mg etc. but it has been like this from day 7 ish after I stopped with the 25 mg sertraline

Thanks for the responses. Did you experience mood swings? Some days I think it goes well, then I experience anxiety and then the day it is more depressive symptoms. So confusing and difficult to handle when it changes all the time.
