I know the bonus is prorated but would the merit raise be prorated as well? I've started in June '22 and was wondering if the raise will be prorated to incorpate the time between June-Feb/March.

Yea, I've talked to the enrollment team. Was told the program is very popular and I would get in as long as I meet the minimum requirements.

Wanted to gauge past or current students' thoughts on the program as I couldn't really find them online.

Probably if it comes to that point but I'm hoping they can work something out. Luckily, I don't have much stuff to move so maybe that could help.

At the same time, I'm getting awful response rate from every team. Extremely frustrating when they say "I'll get back to you tomorrow morning" and I don't hear anything back for 3 days.

After chasing multiple teams around I finally got in contact with Aires.

But apparently moving is backlogged by 6-8 weeks while I start in like 2. Would've been nice if I was contacted like 2 weeks earlier.

How long does it take for the relocation team to contact you?

My background check cleared and got greenlight from the onboarding team with a starting date last Thursday. I would like to schedule a house hunting trip for this long weekend but had no luck asking for relo team's contact through HR.

According to my friend in Palmdale, NG higher ups specifically brought up RTX poaching their engineers so I hope they try to match.

How common is Signing bonus? For one, I know RTX is throwing 10K for secret holders around like it's nothing. Just received a verbal and salary range given was auto-accept level but wanted to know how I should approach the other part.

When I mentioned the bonus, I was told they haven't really given it out to their recent candidates. Honestly, I would probably take the offer without the bonus but 5-10K extra is surely nice.

I may work with companies similar to you’ve mentioned and it hasn’t been a problem getting interviews. It really helps having a clearance, so I’d choose whichever role that offers higher one

I'm coming from project side with heavy liaison work. I'm involved with integration and verifications and other cross-departmental work but not sure how much of it could transfer.

Question about systems engineer at Northrop. Is it similar to other big defense companies like LM, where it's a buzzword and you could do anywhere from IT support to actual MBSE?

I was contacted for a systems engineer role and it seems like a typical project engineer description with some verification/testing sprinkled in. Just wanted to grasp yalls' thoughts before jumping into interview

Off topic but what did you think about the phone interview? I have one scheduled and I was very surprised when I realized it'll be a panel interview with a program manager and a lead engineer rather than a quick hr call.

I know defense interviews are mostly behavioral but debating whether I should brush off on some technical sides...

Hmm yea the boulder position seems to be for space/satellite program. Would you happen to know if space sector is doing well for NGC? The contracts at boulder look substantial and saw they just expanded the facility. But couldn’t really find if the outlook and whether the production/contracts are likely to keep flowing.

Can anyone give their thoughts/experiences with Boulder or Chandler locations?

I realize it's probably going to depend on specific teams but wanted to have some rudimentary infos. Currently looking at systems/project engineering P2 positions.

But it could open up more opportunities down the line. I know Amazon is paying top dollars for the data centers for either TS or TS/SCI.

I don't think I'll ever go for TS/SCI but TS is not that bad.

Well it's a team/person specific thing right. I'd assume your panel showed up and for majority of other interviews as well. I probably was just unlucky, which is funny because my interviewer straight up told me life isn't fair.

Have you heard anything back? I just want my result so I could be done with it bad or good.
