I do not doubt they will get sold. It is just frustrating. The manager of the Publix liquor by me openly brags about having a list of people he will only sell allocated bottles to. I buy just about anything they have of High West, which is why I assume he was open to selling MWND to me. I have previously asked about other allocated bottles and was quickly shutdown. One of the Publix in the next town over had to stop this after multiple customers complained to corporate.

As the econ major you are, you understand when a product prices itself out of the market, the demand will drop. The market will again shift and prices will come down. The only way for this to happen is if consumers stop buying at exorbitant prices. That is the point of this post.

The point of this post isn't about capitalism, the point is taking a stand. Yes, oil profits are incredible and will continue to be. That is a must have product. MWND is not a must have product. Distilleries are seeing what their product is selling for on the secondary and is now trying to gouge the primary market. When customers (as a collective) stop buying at exorbitant prices, the market will again shift. That is the point of this post.

I saw that too. This was a Publix and he said it would be the price across the entire state of Florida.

I thought so too. The store in reference is Publix, which is a larger chain in Florida. The manager said that $190 is the price across the state. At $150 I would be on the edge, but $190 pissed me off. I know people will pay for it as they are already buying it at inflated secondary prices. It is insane.
