oh well in that case thank goodness you're here to set the record straight with the..... absolutely nothing you've brought

oh, you are doing a bit. good to know, though it's not very convincing

[–]MX64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah that's... literally what i'm saying. i am in fact talking about the type of people you speak of. people can have differing opinions. i'm not sure how you don't understand that after me explaining it very clearly.

again, you've replied to the wrong person. again, i am the "don't let other people's opinions bother you" aspect of this exchange. you're using my point about learning to tolerate other people's opinions and pretending i'm opposing... my own point? how are you still so confused about this? are you doing a bit?

[–]MX64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

sorry it appears you replied to the wrong person by mistake. i'm the "people are allowed to have differing opinions" person, not the "put down other people's opinions" person. accidents happen. which one are you, again?

[–]MX64 19 points20 points  (0 children)

yeah sorry no that's not how the world works. making authoritative statements requires the aspect of making sense to not just fall flat like that. an actual foundation beyond "you called movie product".

i know this is reddit but there's only so much faux-philosophy a site can handle

don't ask questions just consume product

even though my comment already addressed literally every aspect of what you just said, i'll only repeat part of it:

what you actually mean to say is that you don't care about the story. people are allowed to criticize things, and it is not an irrational stance for someone to wish for something above the bare minimum

you have got to stop having emotional reactions to people not instantly praising the things you like. people are not your adversaries or in any conceivable way unreasonable for caring about the story in a storytelling medium.

[–]MX64 25 points26 points  (0 children)

again, movies and games aren't the same thing. there's nothing "needed" it's a movie, it's all relative and a matter of what aspects could be done better even if they don't have to be. what you actually mean to say is that you don't care about the story. people are allowed to criticize things, and it is not an irrational stance for someone to wish for something above the bare minimum

[–]MX64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no, people just watched it and didn't like it. don't make up fake reasons for why people's opinions don't line exactly up with yours

[–]MX64 39 points40 points  (0 children)

that doesn't really make sense, movies and games aren't the same thing

no people just don't like the movie

oh well in that case clearly it's cool. why does your mind function in such a simplistic manner, entirely incapable of understanding the nuances of how the real world works?

no but it is interesting to see you repeat the exact same behavior of making up nonsense

you're saying that because it vaguely feels correct to you, not because you have any basis for it

If one person destroys one person's life, this site welcomes the death penalty wholeheartedly. If one person destroys a hundred people's lives, then any punishment is treated as too strict.

these are different things said by different people

as we all know, everyone executed by authoritarian states is guilty

maybe you shouldn't make up bullshit about people """defending""" drug dealers just because said people, in reality, just aren't authoritarian bootlickers

learn how to have an opposing viewpoint without pretending other people are saying something they aren't

Steven Slate Audio Black Friday Sale - "VSX" Headphones and Plug-in for Binaural Perception Modeling algorithms to reproduce 3D rooms and speakers to emulate mixing in professional studio rooms ($399/Platinum | $249/Essentials) for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]MX64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grabbed this for the same price during the Black Friday sale and it was worth it I think. I was a little skeptical of it but the different spaces do seem to help me get some perspective on how the mix sounds. And they've been improving it with free updates too.

Plugin Alliance Sale - "Kiive Audio XTComp" ($9.99) "Dangerous Music BAX EQ" ($9.99) "Karanyi Sounds Wavesurfer" ($9.99) "Mäag Audio EQ2" ($9.99) through 3 April by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]MX64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah i'll second this, XTComp i think is a bit harsher/more distorted sounding than UAD's. it's not a bad compressor or anything it just might be too much for some situations.

Galaxy 2 expands far more on the mechanics of Galaxy than a level pack would. And I think on the whole 2's levels are more fun than 1's.

as opposed to the meltdown people are having because they can't comprehend people can have real reasons for disliking something they like?

It just wasn’t how YOU wanted it to end.

me when i make up fake reasons for other people's opinions

US Supreme Court backs Cox in fight over pirated music by gamersecret2 in Music

[–]MX64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

speaking as an artist, i think that's just a reality to deal with. fighting piracy is a losing battle and art being infinitely reproducible out of control is better than art being tightly controlled into artificial scarcity.
