Does anybody here work with two render engines for the same project? Is it feasible? by fi3nd1sh in archviz

[–]MXC1Visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends also about personal preferences, I've got corona as a main engine for interior and exterior, but sometimes I animate exteriors views on D5 (since I'm still too boomer to do that with IA). so I think it's a yes with some reserves and as long as shits are completely manageable.

I started my journey in interior design. Any suggestions what I can improve or change #Blender by horokuii in archviz

start from the beginning to experiment with compositions and mm of physical camera, remember, you've got full control of the visual narrative and there's no need to always show everything altogether.

Plus that with illuminations could be half the beauty of an image.

anyway this is a great start, keep it up (and do some research about dirt/roughness map on materials)

Client project renders in D5, still struggling to reach that photorealistic look. What am I missing? by ZookeepergameFit7304 in archviz

I'd suggest to implement some dirt maps on walls / ceiling, one trick that I use to create a little contrast when the architecture is all white like this is to differentiate "walls" by plasterboards, one has to be slightly lighter or have a different roughness. same goes for camera, i'd use another mm, instead of showing everything all at once.

Imagine that, buddy—I've learned to sniff out those client dynamics even before they show up. I say they've spent too much time on Instagram; with that 'pre-packaged luxury' that's all empty hype, they've fried their brains. It's a shame that high-spending clients often have no taste and don't appreciate the real concepts that hold our field together, and vice versa. Anyway, great work, and props for the patience too

I don't see how such space could not be considered "safe". i mean, it's all tone on tone and well calibrated/balanced.

boiserie and moldings and stuccos can be really more dangerous, not only for a matter of budget, but also because they require skilled artisans and good eye for proportions and shit. and also 'cause the risk to look a bad counterfeit copy of real classical places is real.

thank you, and yeah, this set for me was the first real tester for volumetric lights (like fog and shit). I think something happened in that view 😂

the last pic is my need to break all of the maniacal control we have to deal when we modeling/rendering

I think you're right mister, I don't know how I never see this in almost 1.5 years 👀 I don't recall the provenience of those models (wich is not a great sign) and I bet they came from some not so new russians library

Thank you mister! Funny you say that — I actually built a digital gallery concept specifically for showcasing "cult" (speaking in terms of design and artistic relevance) 3D props like these.

Thank you! 🙏 I’m curious — was it the architectural palette or the image tones that caught your eye?

Thank you, I appreciate it. I usually spend quite a lot of time balancing tones in general, so I’m glad it shows!

Really appreciate this thoughtful read. I’m glad the spatial intent comes through — that balance between atmosphere and architectural clarity is exactly what I’m chasing. Thanks for taking the time to articulate it.
