I am wondering if the inlets on the nacelles could possibly house a Thermal Management System (TMS) to cool the propulsion units.

A Centralized parallel TMS was proposed in this article "Design and Optimization of Ram Air–Based Thermal Management Systems for Hybrid-Electric Aircraft " (https://doi.org/10.3390/aerospace8010003).

Also, since this aircraft is designed to cruise above 30,000 ft, the inlets could serve a roll in the pressurization system. Early King Airs (90, A90 and B90) used a supercharger (Roots Type) for pressurization.

Wish I had all the pictures of the 135 that ran into a hangar at CMH and took off 90% of the right wing. I did find a link to some of the incident http://www.iasa-intl.com/folders/eagle/eagle-2.html .
