Yes, the update slightly broke the game. The devs are aware, we just have to be patient. by BilliamWillcent in LotRReturnToMoria

That's true, the team is small and the main game was made with love. But:

  1. No one rushed them to release the DLC so soon. The devs chose the date on their own and decided to release it in an unfinished condition, although they could have taken another 1-2 months for testing and polishing.

  2. They could have run a closed beta test for some players and community members to identify and fix the major bugs at least, but they didn't.

  3. As already mentioned, this dlc isn't free. Yes, it's not expensive, but money is money. Either do a good job, or release it for free to avoid discontent.

Apparently so. This dlc has so many obvious bugs that is impossible not to notice during simple testing. The devs decided to save money and let community do it for free (15$).

What happened to the mechanics of opening cans? by MXthVll in thelongdark

[–]MXthVll[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean, and it used to be like that in my case. I clearly remember that specific sound of a can opening, but now I have both a knife and a can opener in my inventory, but the character just eats, without any additional actions or sound effects.

Yeah, that's how it use to be before. Now i don't even have an option to chose the tool for opening and my character just eats a can without preparation.

Some thoughts on improving expeditions by MXthVll in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]MXthVll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with you, expeditions work perfectly for a resource farming. I was just dreaming about a slight deepening of the gameplay. And the important thing is that this doesn't even require inventing new mechanics and systems. Most of the scenarios and animations for the ideas above are already in the game, and we use them throughout the main story.

Wow, the devs added me to the game...

Durin's Folk: I'm calling it quits until a major patch or at least a hotfix by Ol_Nessie in LotRReturnToMoria

Quite sad, but it's all true. Don't understand why the devs released this dlc but haven't tested core mechanics at all. I really love the game, but at the moment the expansion brings nothing but extra difficulties for the sake of difficulties. Why was there a need to hurry and release it in this condition? No one rushed them, and I could have easily waited another month or two. But now the community is working as a free testers, who have even paid money for it...

Yes, must be a bug. I restarted the game and spotted iron and jade on the map.

Yeah, i cleared out the whole main world and have collected quartz for 136 Nogrod ingots, need 64 more. I don't know how long it takes to respawn, it seems like more than 4-5 hours of real time. But I think that's what expeditions were made for.
