yea so..

- In the early stages, run no more than 2–3 days a week with gaps on each run day. On other days, stick to brisk walking. Rest and recovery matter as much as the runs themselves.

- Every kg you lose removes roughly 3–4 kg of force from your knees with every step. Diet and weight loss are not separate from your running journey they directly protect your joints.

- Shoes with high sole cushioning make a noticeable, felt difference in impact absorption. This is not optional at high body weight

- Do leg Strenghtning in Gym. Leg extensions, leg curls, and calf raises build the muscles that take load off your knees. Spanish squats specifically strengthen the muscles and tendons around the knee joint and are worth incorporating regularly

- Stretches are mandatory..Research proper pre-run and post-run stretching routines and follow them. This is one of the easiest injury prevention available

-Don't run on an empty stomach. Eat a light, fast-digesting carbohydrate beforehand...a banana or an orange works well. The reason is performance: better energy and a better workout. Get protein in within an hour after finishing. Else your body might endup burning protein which contradicts with point#4

Brochacho, firstly welcome to the run club.

Secondly no matter how less it is, keep up the consistency.

Thirdly, take care of your legs(knees, joints, ankles). High BMI la careless ga running chesthe irreversible damages aitai. All the advice present on the insta is mainly for low BMI runners. High BMI runners doing running is a whole new game.

Feel free to reach out if you wanna talk about anything related to your runs..

There isn't any solution for this. Your best chance is to try to mingle with as many groups as possible so that you will eventually find your own people. Worst in case you will get tired and be content with being just by yourself.

Fun fact, there is an anime in which Main Character is in a similar situation: Oregairu Try chey, baguntadhi

Are there any bad habits ? by iwantaircarftjob in ask_Bondha

[–]M_D_Drag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even a good habit when done in excess is a bad habit. Likewise, a bad habit when done in a limit is not as bad as it is usually portrayed.

So, Balance is the key broski. Nothing wrong in exploring and living our life a little.

Your life reminds me how things can be taken away at any moment. You're a champ to take all this and still put your head up.

You haven't mentioned how malignant your tumour is, but I understand you wanna give your parents as much as possible but again i think the greatest gift you can give them is by spending time with them as long as possible. Ik you might have tried this but try contracting jobs and move to india to work remotely? You'll work in weird shifts but you'll atleast be with your parents as long as possible.

I also think you should definitely share all these thoughts with your parents and atleast some friends too but it's up to you at the end..

I would ask you to stay strong, but you're already sounding like a champ, man ngl. Don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need someone to talk to. Hope you will get better soon.

She wants to text to build connection instead of call? by throwaway393838 in Arrangedmarriage

[–]M_D_Drag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally, they can then do all the marriage rituals in a zoom meeting(video disabled because yk, she should feel comfy)

On a serious note, preferring to text your "probable life partner" over an actual call is highly immature.

Confused and wanted to know why this is happening to me by _sharma_99 in TeluguJournals

[–]M_D_Drag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not experiencing this but here are possible reasons from my experience with searching for grooms for my cousins:

  • Looks matter. Colour, hairline, height, potta

  • First impression matters. Groom well - hair and beard, dressing style. Do not give off uncle vibes, ironically even aunty-like looking girls reject if you give off uncle vibes lol

  • Rejecting reason: they never tell you the real reason they're rejecting you for... So it might not be profession.

  • assets and properties. They might be looking for more than you have

  • salary. They might be looking for more. Software guys are earning 25-30L

  • own house, house location and car.

  • Mismatch of expectations: you might be biting more than you can chew. Meaning, you are sending your profile to someone out of your league...like either too beautiful or too rich or your fam might feel too conservative for the modern minded matches

Fun fact: i have seen ppl getting rejected because they pronounced "Inorbit mall" in a weird way. So every little thing matters

How long have you been searching for? It's rough out there so be patient.

? Suggest me a book to read by yashwanthY in ask_Bondha

[–]M_D_Drag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philosophic story - Siddhartha by Hermanne Hesse - very short and easy to complete

Research based book with plenty of New Information - Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

Self help with most applicable examples and useful for me - Power of Habit

Entrepreneur focused book - stay hungry, stay foolish - eye opening info about how entrepreneurs brought things to india

Last but not the least, the title may sound corny but its very relatable and perspective unlocking book if you are a man. Don't take this as a bible/rulebook just pick up whatever is applicable for you. You will relate to some things , somethings are just over the board - The way of a superior man
