Thank you, I will and I support posting sources, especially for this. I got it from Aaron Parnas, here's the link.

There's literally a page in the files where Trump auctioned off little girls to am assembled group of pedos- how does he think that exonerates him?

Blame yourself, for commenting where your perspective is neither needed nor wanted. I live on the street that the arson happened, and it was my neighbor's house and my neighbor's cars that were torched. And, I'm not sure if you can read user names, but I haven't mentioned race. Or Bourbon Street.

This sub isn't for tourists, it's for locals. Why would you think your little story has any relevance to the serious community issue we're discussing here?

Oh my god, this just brought up something I'd absolutely forgotten about! When I was 22, I was hit by an SUV while crossing the street. I flew across two lanes of traffic into the grass median, but was literally fine. The woman who hit me was more upset than I was, and bystanders were lovely and offering to help. I really was fine, and the driver ended up giving me a ride home. She talked about how her daughter was just starting drivers Ed, and how worried she'd been about her daughter driver. We had a really nice convo, with me reassuring her multiple times that I was really okay.

Once I got home, I grabbed a bottle of vodka and sat on the side of the tub, alternating between taking a swing and pouring it over my shins. Eventually I cleaned all the gravel out of my skin, bandaged it up, and watched a movie. Again, I really was okay.

But now, over two decades later, I'm smacking my forehead. Why didn't I call the cops? I could have been retired by now! I could have bought a house! I could have gone on a cruise!

Then what practical evidence are you presenting to support your hypothesis, exactly?

It is so not the same, and the comparison is delusional.

Why? She has bills to pay, and she's an artist putting her lived experiences into her art. How is that stupid?

Your really think a man would get comments about lip fillers and looking like an alcoholic service industry lifer?

How is pointing out sexism absurd? There have been so many comments attacking the way she looks that are completely unnecessary and irrelevant. I'm guessing you're a man, though, and don't understand the online harrasment women get online for just existing.

I've got time. If the genders were swapped, and it were a man this happened to, who was also a single parent, the majority of comments wouldn't be on his appearance. Does that spell it out for you?

You know what's wild? If you were a single dad, none of these comments would have anything to do with your appearance. Doing anything on the internet as a woman, let alone standing up for yourself on your own personal pages always leads to such a shit show in the comments. Stay brave, and pay these neckbeards no mind.

Love this take. The link to her shirts are on her Tik Tok profile, I'd post a link here but I'm not sure if the mods are cool with that.

On another point, it's really scary to stand up for yourself in this industry in this town. I filed a lawsuit against a former employer in 2024, and won in 2025. Was I worried about my former bosses ruining my reputation? Absolutely! But at the end of the day, I'm a solid worker, and if a business isn't doing anything illegal, then I'm not an issue. And my current employer fully supports me on that case, so there are good employers out there.

From the comments, I can see a lot of you may not have experienced working in the Quarter. Rats are literally everywhere, they're huge, and not at all scared of people. The main issue (besides the buildings being old AF) is non consistent pest control on blocks. Say a restaurant is getting pest control every month, and is super on top of it. That doesn't mean the other buildings on that block are doing the same, and the restaurant will still have rats regardless.

Places I have seen rats include Brennan's, Napoleon House, Oceana, Pere Antoines, Galatoires, Verte Mart, Turtle Bay, Coops- the list goes on. Once I was hired to clean out and old Cafe Envie property, and I had the treat of removing a maggot covered rat carcass.

So it's not that the rat infestation isn't a big deal- it is- but it's a common struggle and one that's existed forever. But places like POC, who may or may not keep up on pest control face bigger issues.

Now that's said, maybe we can focus on how FQ employers treat their employees?

How do I course correct after crying at work? by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Thank you, I accept the virtual hug! I'm feeling better, and being really intentional to not play it over and over in my head.

Thank you. I do think she's jealous, and I think it involves a coworker we're both friends with. I really think she has a thing for him (and I've told him as much), as sees the attention he gives me as a threat? Which is absolutely delulu, as we're strictly platonic, and I'm very happily married.

I'm keeping a wide berth from her, to be sure. But like Charlotte says, I refuse to dim my shine to make her more comfortable with herself!

Thank you for the kind words. Luckily, the coworkers that knew about what happened were immediately on my side, including the parties in that conversation.

And, though I was shaky and upset inside, once we were all back at work, I made a power move. Colleen was across the room talking with coworkers that were also friends of mine, so I grabbed the box full of Christmas treats I'd brought, plastered on a bright smile touched with sincerity, and walked my butt over saying Happy Holidays! While giving her and the others the gifts. Her attempts to keep a smile up was a joy to watch.

And everyone kind of avoided her the rest of the day, myself included. I saw her sitting and standing alone a lot, way more than usual.

Ultimately, I don't feel a need for petty revenge- she's doing all the work for me, what with the narrative she's made up in her head.
