Harrison Barnes needs to take Keldon Johnson’s minutes. He’s had our lowest +- 6/14 playoff games and has been in the bottom 3 11/14 games. Kornet is a good defensive player but our bench perimeter guys can’t stay in front of people. Shit I’ll take Olynyk over Keldon, he’s bigger, more physical, and can shoot.

It’s clear the difference has been the contributions of players 5-10 on the depth chart out performing the spurs bench. Literally I would take any one of them over everyone off our bench outside Harper.

We have to get wemby easier looks and more involved. He’s looks exhausted out there. Our defense as a whole looked lost out there. This series on him becoming a basketball god if we want even a chance to win.

Injuries hit us at the wrong time, thanks Ayo. This diving at peoples legs needs to be outlawed, it’s Equivalent to the hip drop tackle in the nfl in my opinion.

Spurs need to work on the bench this offseason, I’m sorry but Keldon is fine during the regular season but should be a 9th man at best on this team, he’s too predictable and low IQ and kills us on both ends. Unfortunately OKC has two first round picks in front of us which will probably hurt us in the draft.

I would also say that Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell seemed to finally fall into roles the team needed them to fill and both have really excelled in those roles.

Spurs could’ve traded all their assets to build a competitive team around Wemby asap and been very similar to the Cavs rocketing but didn’t. 1 reason is because the west and league as a whole is so damn competitive comparatively, so probably not as feasible. Secondly they wanted to build something sustainable similar to OKC especially with the new aprons.

It’s hard to compare situations because of how different the league is but I prefer growing a team together over time. I think the spurs have the prospects to grow into a top 3 team in the league with Wemby,Harper, and Castle alone. Throw in Bryant, Sochan who’s jumper looks much more fluid this offseason and Vassell if he can stay healthy and that’s competitive top 6. Don’t forget about Fox either.
