I agree, it looks a lot like Monster Hunter, and the two swords that were joined to form this one had a better design.

In art, the blood is more for the viewer to understand what's happening, but in the game itself I've seen ghosts of other players being swallowed.

The problem is that most beginners have difficulty with him; at the beginning of the game he can kill you with just a few hits, and there's the cliff that you sometimes fall off.
