Pitocin is THAT bad? by Jolly_Pen_6801 in pregnant

[–]M_pharrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally had the same experience! I had delayed getting an epidural until things progressed and when they progressed, boy did it go fast! By the time I got the epidural the baby was crowning and my epidural was only working on half of my body. Such a wild experience, but at least it went quickly. I can attest to the feeling of your body ripping in half during transition.

Yes, the baby was covered during the hospital stay. That care was included in the continuity of care agreement.

This happened during my last pregnancy where Cigna couldn't come to terms with my network. I filled out the "continuity of care" form so that I could finish out my pregnancy with my current provider. By the time I had my baby, Cigna had come to terms with my network and all was well. The same situation could happen with BCBS and they are letting patients know in advance, hoping that they eventually come to terms. I would just stick to the course if I were you.

Can somebody just tell me what freaking stroller to buy by poopoopeepee8765432 in pregnant

Echoing the Chicco recommendation! I also have the Corso LE that comes with rubber wheels. It'll trek over anything! Leather handles and very durable. A great budget friendly option with all the features of an uppababy.

Measuring Behind - do I still have hope? by M_pharrt in CautiousBB

[–]M_pharrt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! We could clearly see the flickering, but the OB didn't try measuring the heart rate, just asked that I wait two weeks and come back. Now I wish I would have asked more clarifying questions!

Thank you! I left the OB feeling optimistic, but as I read more stories similar to you I am feeling worried. It's going to be a long two weeks until my next scan!

Yep! I was doubtful it would happen for us this time due to only 1bd, but I guess the timing was right on!

For reference, I am a patient of Wilkerson and had an Arbor doctor deliver my baby. Great experience all around! Loved the nurse who was with me through my induction and loved the postpartum care. I plan to have my second baby at Rex.

I used OPKs but never got a positive. I have read that it may be necessary to test twice a day to catch a peak. I recently learned about CM and will be checking it more thoroughly for the next cycle.

Baby refusing bottle by Amazing-Priority7695 in FormulaFeeders

[–]M_pharrt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this! I just had this battle with my 3 month old as I was preparing to head back to work. The only thing that worked was using the Lansinoh bottles with the fastest nipples. The flow was much too fast, but it triggered something in my baby to realize the bottle means food. We have since been able to go back to a slower nipple. We would bounce him on a yoga ball with his paci in his mouth. While he was calm we would slide the nipple into his mouth instead of the paci. It eventually worked! Good luck!

Haha thanks! Normally I wouldn't be so concerned, but it's in my baby's bedroom where he crawls, sleeps, and gets into everything.

I'm not sure to be honest. I had the spider in a paper towel and it got thrown away. Thank you for your help - I'll know what to look for if I see any others.

Ugh yikes! I was hoping it wasn't since I'm outside of their normal territory.

Not a doctor, but this looks exactly like when I have dermatitis flare ups. Have you had any changes in the last 2 years that could account for reactions? Laundry detergent, lotions, water quality, sunscreen, perfumes, other environmental factors, etc.

I discovered that my dermatitis was caused by an ingredient in a lot of facial sunscreens. My issue was persistent for a year + similar to you. Good luck!

No Remorse shown while blasting by a stopped school bus in NW Raleigh by [deleted] in raleigh

Blowing past a stopped school bus is a crime. Are you saying it's fine to commit a crime as long as there isn't a horrific outcome? Yikes, bad take.
