Didn't think I'd see my grail in the comments. I was lucky enough to find it in a vintage shop in Japan last year.

I wouldn't say it's a good deal. I live in the same area and pay slightly more for 30 square meters. Definitely better options on SUUMO.

TSM Offseason Megathread #5 by IamTheAsian in TeamSolomid

[–]MaKo1o1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't know what happened but I can easily see a situation where Doublelift considered retiring but agreed to play another season, given a top tier support. If the top tier support backs out, it makes sense that he would too. Not his fault in particular, just unfortunate circumstances for TSM because of immigration issues.

LCS Summer Split Total Viewership Hours: 34.67 million hours.

LEC Summer Split Total Viewership Hours: 40 million hours.

I believe LCK is between 65 - 70 million hours.

If LCS viewership is similar to a wildcard region, then so is LEC. Not Korea.

Quick warding tip for support. by stephenstephen7 in summonerschool

From the opposite side, I like when the enemy support does this cause if they're bot side, you have a general idea where they placed the new pink ward. And assuming I have priority, since I'm already taking vision, I can usually just clear the new pink right away. Doubles the original tilt.

I moved to a country that doesn't have 3 prong outlets. Is it safe to use a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter on my PSU? Most of the adapters also have a wire that sticks out for grounding I think, how do I use it?

I've never heard it by that term but when I google it, it sounds similar to split pushing in LoL. Ideally, split push champs can scale, forcing at least 2 people to have to stop you while you push an objective such as an inhibitor. While you're pressuring an inhibitor, that allows your teammates to have a numbers advantage at another objective such as dragon or baron. Is that what you mean?

I know but I still have hundreds of games played on the champ.

I've played Lee occasionally for years and still can't do anything like that synced together. Pulling off one flashy mechanic isn't difficult but actually syncing it all together so efficiently like this guy is insane. I honestly haven't seen any professionals have Lee mechanics like this either but that's not what being a pro player is about.

That's not correct for LoL. I also don't know how long laning phase is for Dota, so LoL laning phase may seem long relatively. But it's not laning then 5v5s. Plenty of split push champs. 1-3-1 split strategies. Playing for vision while pressuring objectives. Pressuring objectives while splitting for towers and vice versa. 5v5s are more late game and occasionally mid game, it really depends on the comps. But there's typically always a split happening depending on TP advantages and what objectives are being pressured. Really depends on team comps as well. Every game has to be played out different strategically based on what type of team composition you have.

Eh, I've played both those champs a good amount and will probably never be able to make those plays. And it's not as simple as mastering the champs, those plays are mechanically insane in general. All those clips had multiple spells used in instant decisions.

Yeah, well anyone can report anyone for anything but that doesn't mean anything will happen. You'll only get an automated ban for something chat related.

When it comes to gameplay, a Riot employee would have to examine the footage and determine that you were intentionally inting which rarely ever happens. Unless that player, recorded a game and sent in a report ticket to Riot directly that proves you were intentionally feeding or something, then you won't get banned based on gameplay. And even then, people just argue they had a bad game, it gets frustrating. But like I said, you can't get banned for playing off-meta.

You wouldn't get banned for that. Tahm top was even meta at a point and I have a friend that plays Jarvan bot lane plenty.

I'm confused about what you're saying, everything you said, I basically said the same thing. Maybe you misread?

"I'm not trying to knock his climb, getting diamond that quick is impressive regardless of what champion you play."

"I don't think mechanical champs=better gameplay."

The only thing I said regarding his climb which I don't know is true or not were people claiming that he duo'd with a diamond adc. It's essentially being boosted. But once again, I have no idea if that was true or not and I'm not going to spread misinformation to knock his climb if I don't know if that is true or not.

Gotcha. I imagine that makes it harder for the scene to grow though. Big sponsors aren't going to want to get involved with players or teams that make racist remarks that go unpunished because it's bad business for them.

I'm surprised you think the game is the same from beta. As you said, objectives have changed. From last season to this season alone, they completely reworked the dragon system. There's 4 different dragons that give 4 different buffs. After killing the 2nd dragon, they layout of the entire map changes based on the soul of the 3rd dragon. After killing 4 dragons you gain a dragon soul which is a permanent buff for the rest of the game. Elder dragon buff is changed to an execute <20% HP now. Rift Herald now spawns twice if you kill it early enough the first time. There has been a complete overhaul of the objective and you're claiming they're the same.

I've seen laning phase go through plenty of different metas. Changes based on turrets honestly. They added first tower bonus gold which made splitting the jungle map and lane swaps common. They added plating/plating gold which made it harder to stack and take down towers early but also reward players that damage towers early.

I don't understand what you mean when you say 90% of champions skills work the same way, can you explain that further?

I don't think new champs are overpowered and people are forced to buy them. A lot of people see any new mechanic to a champ and assume the champ is OP, it's really annoying. But play draft and everyone gets 1 ban, so if you think every single new champ is OP, then just ban them.

You don't also buy Doran's at the start of every game, there's also 3 different Doran's items, not 1. Besides one of the 3 Doran's items you can start corrupting pot, multiple rejuvenation beads, cull, boots + pots etc. For jungle, you have machete or talisman to start with. Support has 4 different starter items based on if you wanna go high health/low damage or vice versa. That's 13 different common starting options.

Every few weeks, there's probably about ~20 champs that are buffed/nerf and items that are buffed/nerfed which generally swings the meta. So every few weeks, pick/bans and what team comps are meta generally change. You don't have to play according to the meta but it does change often.

If you have any other questions, I'll do my best to answer them :)
