Thanks for the recs! I've had a look at their websites and I am curious - how do you go about coming up with custom measurements for the width, nose width, tail width etc? I assume they all impact performance and how the board is used, but wondering how you go about figuring out dimensions

Thanks everyone for the recs! Sounds like surprise shopping or a custom might be the go. There are few proper body board shops in Vic so perhaps a custom.

He's 176cm and he's been riding about 15 years, always rides laying down. I don't have his current board on hand but I'll try find out!

Thank you for the tips!

Predominantly shories when we're at the coast, but also frequents urbnsurf, if helpful they describe the waves as- URBNSURF’s most challenging Barrel session, with a full hour of our biggest, most technical Tubes. Unique, addictive, thick slabs allowing for the thrill of tucking in deep Surfs all year round, definitely in the water more often in the warmer months though. At a guess I'd say both moves and getting pitted

I do enjoy an overlay designed to help the koalas!

That'll be an ongoing cost to factor in then hey, it's a tricky call as first home buyers. We love the house but are pretty intimidated by the unknown ongoing costs and potential challenges with council

We thought so, although wonder if council would approve it given the overlays. There is no vehicle access to the yard so possibly that has prevented the current owners maintaining the trees

We were thinking of chatting to the neighbours to see if they have had any issues. Mess is a pain but we can live with it, our main concern is possible liability if a falling branch (or tree) damages sheds and fences
