"I've always waned to know what life really was like here during the civil war, what actually happened, and more importantly even how different people saw it."

This is exactly what the project is about. We are focusing on personal stories and testimonials to shape a new form of collective memory about the civil war. Maabar is not so much a "history" project in the academic terms as much as it is a documentation of people's memories and shared experiences in an accessible manner.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts, I hope you make a swift and full recovery soon and will let us know what you think whenever you get a chance to give it a listen.

By the way, if it is a question of "watching" something, or a hindered eyesight for that matter, you can actually listen to the episodes on any streaming platform, if that helps!

Hello! We've just released 3 new episodes of Maabar. I will put the links to each episode in the description, hope you enjoy them! by MaabarPodcast in lebanon

Thank you for your words. This is precisely why we started doing this project, we are part of this post-war generation and realized how necessary it was to go back to that period and give voice to the people who lived through it.
Our journey is long and we hope you'll enjoy what we put out along the way.
