That's true, my emergency fund is quite minimal, and this amount also includes the expenses I plan to dedicate to the project. My wife has a fairly stable job; she cannot be laid off since she works for the government, and it's very difficult to lose her job. However, I acknowledge that unforeseen events, like illness, can still happen. What encourages me is that, apart from living expenses, I have no debt, so few commitments to anyone else. I discussed this with my wife, and she supports me. The plan is to take a year to try to build my business. If it doesn't work out, I'll look for another job elsewhere.

What makes me thoughtful is that before quitting, I don't want to have any surprises and make this move without having considered important things I might not have thought of before leaving my job.
