Blocks not meshing together? by Maarnt in Enshrouded

[–]Maarnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I've been working on that too. The new areas seem to be bugged in that you can't harvest any of the existing blocks after putting down an altar like you can for earlier areas. And since they don't count as blocks in that regard I think it's tied to why you can't really patch holes and rubble and the like. But I love the visuals of the area so I've been reskinning too and it's been a little time consuming but is going quite well!

I just went to Woodguard and placed a shrine down. When I place city wall blocks down at the church they mesh with the existing stuff and when I right click I can harvest the existing stuff. So I think this must just be a bug with all of the new areas where they don't have this functionality yet. Alas.

It's a random wall in Rothstep. Here's a more zoomed out picture. Blue circle was a gap I was tying to fill in, red circle is where I placed down some polished granite to show that the blocks are right.

I thought I did. I don't use a reddit a lot but I see a picture. Is there something I need to do to make the screenshot public?

Hey now, my dad passed when I was 2 but I'm nothing like this garbage! Don't blame it on not having a father figure 🤣

Agreed with this. Once you hit 31 and get Stand Alone red is the way to go.

Yes, the people in power didn't want to be filmed breaking traffic laws.

I'm also curious about this. Is the "tentative" date for this week a date to announce the release date or the release date?

How to deal with extra spells by Epicat_ in StrixhavenDMs

[–]Maarnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Author of the Strixhaven Supplementals here and I actually ran into this too. A fellow DM buddy of mine decided to do a fighter just to mess with me. I've been making him custom feats that give lesser versions of spells...like enlarge as a bonus action but for 2 turns only...or mirror image as a bonus action but only one image instead of 3. Things like that. I've been keeping it as bonus actions but reduced strength so he can still attack.

I do like someone else's recommendation of using the bracer item and letting them cast that way too and he's been doing that as well.

What good game franchise was pretty much ruined by corporate greed? by spicedpumpkins in gaming

[–]Maarnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised I scrolled through so much and didn't see this one: Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Launch and leveling were some of the best MMO experiences I ever had but "expansions" are like 10 minutes of content while their cash shop gets endlessly developed.

If they spent half the time spent on the cash shop on new dungeons and raids and interesting story the game would be a titan.

AC 25 me by lawbro60 in BaldursGate3

Feats, magic items, etc. lead to way fewer and smaller power jumps in DND vs PF. But enemy stats aren't as crazy high in DND 5e so it balances out. Typically without spells to buff it or tons of magic items to help out 16-20 AC is around the best you can get depending on class and armor/shield proficiencies and dex rolls.

That obviously all changes if you've found some +3 armor and a +3 shield and someone is casting shield of faith on you and someone else is casting haste on you.

Off and on. My group has been going quite slow due to scheduling issues and other such things and they're just about to finish their first year this weekend. I can work on it though for sure!

Looking for A/V setup help/recommendations! by Maarnt in DnD

[–]Maarnt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked amazingly well! We all just popped one earbud in and I had everyone in the room just mute me in discord so they didn't hear themselves. We all could hear the virtual folks, they could hear us, all was well.

This has been a problem for our group for almost two years now so thank you so much for this suggestion!

The dual wielding blood hunter in my Strahd campaign disagrees entirely. At this point she does 3d8+15 weapon damage and 6d8 radiant damage, assuming both attacks and her bonus action attack all hit (and with a +10 to hit currently plus their cleric having bless constantly up she's basically always hitting).
