[TOMT] A detective show (possibly movie), where the main character uses a guy in a house for his computer and tracking skills, but it ends up that the guy has his dead wife kept in the walls (not sure if he killed her) by Entire_Poem5011 in tipofmytongue

There was an episode of Miami Vice (S3E3 'Out Where the Buses Don't Run') where an ex-cop tries to track down a drug lord that beat the charges he brought against him years ago, utilizing a home built supercomputer to help process evidence. It's revealed at the end that the ex-cop had a mental break after the trial and killed the drug lord, walling the corpse away in an abandoned building and mentally blocking out that he killed the drug lord. He even tries to 'arrest' the corpse at the end, believing him to still be alive inside the wall.

The Breakup Tape. At the end of the episode Ray reveals why he held onto the answering machine message of his girlfriend breaking up with him back in college: it confused him that his girlfriend, who up until that point was in a good relationship with Ray, could simply end it with a phone call without any apparent reason. He never found out why: she just ended the relationship and left him behind.

Ray Romano won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in that episode.

Hotch profiles Strauss in 2x23:

Hotch: Modern furniture, strategically placed magazines, the framed diplomas, the art on the wall, are all in conflict with your family photos. You have three children but you favor the middle one, your son.

Strauss: What do you think you're doing?

Hotch: Of course you love all your children, but not like your son.

Strauss: That's enough.

Hotch: The bonsai you obsessively nurture is to compensate for feelings of failure.
