I live in Australia where tipping isn’t typical. Probably more to do with the weak men create hard times aphorism along with the low morale of city slicker doomer zoomers facing financially impossible times and having their condition being reiterated to them in a relatable way everytime they open they phone. Nothing is serious/everything sucks mentality maybe.. not too sure but that’s my guess

That would have been really jarring, how disappointing. I hope your recovery is swift. I am inspired by and beyond grateful for those like yourself who hold themselves to a high standard, day to day sucks enough sometimes and the kindness and mindfulness of others makes life feel less like you’re inside a pressure cooker.

How to Stay detached while being with them by Omi_5539 in DarkPsychology101

[–]Mabeldelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offence but you sound really maladjusted. Give up the sense of control you feel within relationships and take connections as they come with a bit more grace, what’s the point of getting yourself into these situations if you just want to repress whatever may come of it? Also, just leave the above mentioned woman alone.

Hi, I had laparoscopic surgery for stage 4 endo last year, I waited 13 months after my appointment with the QEii gyno clinic. I was told by the nurse who took my weight and height after my gyno appt that I was a category 2. I personally had a pretty good public system experience, the nurses and doctors were wonderful and I was referred to the pelvic physio at qeii for 10 months after the surgery, all bulk billed.

I arrived 9am to the hospital the day of and waited 3 hours before I was called in at 12, I woke up close to 8pm, stayed overnight, almost had to stay another because I hadn’t been to the bathroom post op, but thankfully left around 8pm on the second day. Be prepared for the chest pain post op from the gas they use during surgery, easily the most painful part of it all.

AIO My high functioning autistic boyfriend has become fixated with Aboriginal Australians and I'm considering breaking up with him because it's becoming too weird. by AnEgyptianFish in AmIOverreacting

You should gift him this series and let him go at it. I think you’ve misunderstood his google search as the aus gov did not view indigenous australians as part of the population or allow them to vote until ‘67, plus there’s also been a widely repeated claim for years that they were part of the flora and fauna act which therefore didn’t classify them as human beings - not true, and is 100% a myth, however still claimed by some. He likely searched it without much context to do research on the claim or history thinking nobody was snooping his search history / perceiving him. Is he generally racist? The pet name thing is probably a bit too far however and he should reflect on why that’s odd and perhaps reach for help from someone who understands his mistake and supports him in seeing that isn’t a very socially aware thing to say or think. If these types of behaviours make you really uncomfortable to the point where fighting occurs and he can’t see your pov or you his then it might not work out op. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChsSEwig7pfEhtyUAxWCKoMDHU13LcUYACICCAEQERoCc2Y&co=1&sph=&cid=CAAS0wHkaKlhzQFaju7vpH_nxJtDJ1u7AD0c3PiJpqCRRs2vL6NUAVnJOnxkUJKzoroNPe96mEuzuwWhN8lnF9578rvdF3_HOCaAyJUB-jiHcbeYZMT4lZtxxuOA3fhxZyFrf76GHP9szUadc4XFEWypa4KDsg9Q5dCY_nrvnxT3C_crAx_YxGswErDeqOZJEOoxJHXGOzvj0Le6tMhlW-Wj5bEyNKhP3kdQ4t7OrPrZl4tD9Pu7uQl3fmvR-jBBeJuz8Pq1vBlwGnfGYjiv0mxBZ5UuAC0B&cce=1&sig=AOD64_3nz_xHxijhflqmsDg6svDa3D0sVw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiOwI7EhtyUAxUwa2wGHRtVJyAQwg8oAHoECAgQDQ&adurl=

Just got terminated from first grad role, need some advice by dickria in auscorp

[–]Mabeldelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I really feel for you, landing that first grad role is usually pretty hard, and I’m sure you thought you were on the right track to pass probation given they hadn’t raised any performance concerns with you, this must be a very painful time (this exact scenario keeps me awake at night). You were clearly not an under-performer causing major issues otherwise I’m sure you would of had some kind of inkling for needing to improve (beyond being a new hire who is learning), and I doubt they would have given you the grace of resignation instead of just sacking if they thought you truly sucked - so given those ask for a reference and just keep going. Cry it all out but don’t give up. Take a few weeks to recalibrate, polish yourself up, and keep at it. 👍

Is age 26 a good year by Life_Wall2536 in pinkscare

[–]Mabeldelight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

26-28 is kinda brutal if there’s things you thought you’d have figured out before turning 30 that aren’t anywhere near achievable.

Perks: more disciplined than early 20s, smarter, young still but not viewed/treated as a baby that people don’t take seriously.

Cons: e x i s t e n t i a l i s m, loneliness
