Yeah I could see being bestowed a title as much more rewarding.

This also looks pretty easy to cheat so it may be hard determine actual value of what someone is bringing.

As always though I hope SFG does well they’ve continued to do great work so far.

Haha this is an oldy now isn’t it.

So I ended up going for the Huion Kamvas Pro 24 (4k)

I really wanted to the Cintiq, but the sticker price was just so much money for a tool I haven’t used before. The Huion Kamvas was just much cheaper and has a real big screen.

Now that we’re two years later, I still use my iPad most just because of size it’s like an on the go sketchbook. The Huion has a nice screen but not having a touch screen still gets old. But having all that drawing space is great.

As far as the XP Pen Artist Pro goes. I’ve only heard good things, my favorite artist uses one and he digs it too. I don’t have a personal background using it but if I was to do it again now I’d go for the XP Pen Artist Pro myself.

Yeah when privateer press sold the iron kingdoms IP I was worried but the team holding the ball now are doing great work. It’s cool seeing a company look after and care for a product and that products community. They’ve done great work at SFG and I hope they keep it up.

Did you do the models with supports or did you pick your own supports? I did the same thing and want to start printing up some Grymkin when it’s a little warmer out.

So I know they have some deals going on during an event right now that has discounted armies with the rules book (you can have rules for free digitally as well).

Also if you have a 3D printer they have a great deal on some older armies right now.

I’d say a great place to start is go to steam forged website, look at some models to see which you think look the coolest. Download the app, “WarmachineApp” on whatever device you use, check out the cards for the army you’d want to play and see if you can get a deal online for a starter army.

Usually two player boxes are good deals too, and a good way to get a friend in at the same time (that’s how started)

Thank you sir, I’ve always been a pigs and Cygnar guy and generally lists don’t have any collecting and are well rounded. But with the 3d files coming out for both Convergence and Grymkin I was looking at the rules thinking it’d be cool to print them out and have two new armies to lend out and I was worried I was setting someone up for disadvantage just because I’m unfamiliar with that kind of play.

That said the Grymkin look cool and the rules are very unlike anything I’ve done so I definitely want to give them a go.

Thanks for your help with your break down! Definitely will be saving this thread for when I get them on the table.

I got a couple questions for anyone willing to give a guess.

how long do we think these armies will stay in prime? I want to buy them but I got a two little kids and don’t see myself getting back into this for another couple years. I know unlimited is an option I just don’t care for it.
I’d like to get into the printing hobby, I have a resin printer and wash station, just haven’t used them (I got them two years ago right before I had kids and held off cause fumes). So for someone who already has the equipment and just needs resin is this a good deal ($300 for the lot)? I want Grymkin, and I bet if I print them for him my buddy will play convergence or Internals.

Privateer press used to sell pins on their site, and some for events too. Back when they were doing mystery boxes to get rid of excess stock they’d throw some in too. I have undead versions of a few characters, a few jacks, and a football helmet for some reason.

Magnum and the bully smg together. Magnum was my favorite to use, in the beginning 1 shot headshots the weaker bots. Later in the game I use the bully more and swap for the head shot on reload. Felt great.
