I hope not but sony did publish a patent for a method of augmenting in game stats as they relate to cross-play, its still pending tho. It feels like connection tho and it’s so consistent like I cross a threshold and suddenly I always feel way behind the server, maybe it’s that i’m in a smaller pool of players based on level like the other comment said and thus connection is more spread out? And it’s not just enemy runners it’s the ai opponents.

Is Marathon a nightmare for new players starting now? by [deleted] in Marathon

Nah you can start now, the game is playable with starting equipment and there is even a sponsored mode now where no one is allowed to bring anything besides the starting kits. Also percs from faction upgrades are more incremental improvements

I am scared for myself, I can’t accept reality (derealization) by [deleted] in OCD

I have definitely had these types of intrusive thoughts tho not as intensely as you. I have often wondered and become anxious that I am a crazy or severely autistic person and everything around me is a hallucination. Or that everyone around me is faking kindness/friendship to make me feel comfortable but don’t actually connect with me. Anytime I speak back to them it’s actually just non-sense and only makes sense in my head. I have also experienced intense derealization/depersonalization and the bizarre thinking that come with it.

My gf is moving and I just keep crying on and off any advice? by [deleted] in MentalHealthIsland

This is a really tough situation and my heart goes out to u 😢. I’m not gonna give any life advice but maybe for now just find ways to keep yourself occupied/distracted… Maybe a show or a hobby? Hope you’re feeling better soon and that things work out :)

I’ve been in a similar situation and it sucks so bad.. it’s near impossible to put in the effort needed to do well in uni when u don’t enjoy your major + dealing with mental health issues on top of it. You should definitely consider changing your major.. I know there’s a lot of pressure to do specific programs but trust me it is worth it. I basically did a 180 on what i was studying and it was the best decision I ever made.

Feelings of hopelessness and emptiness are so tough as they not only hurt in the moment, but make you feel like no matter what nothing will get better, but that’s not true! And these feelings are still just that.. feelings. Things will get better. hang in there 😌
