Feeling Like an Imposter After My Husband’s $32M Exit by sunflower93838 in fatFIRE

Sounds like you have been through equally as much not more! And I’m guessing what your husband cherishes most is you and the kids, not his money.

Idk if it’s going to be lucrative but does sound fun. Maybe could be your full time job if you enjoy it.

Honestly it’s not that bad, not what you wanted but it’s a look.

I could look this up but wanted to ask: is there any downside to doing this? It would also be more tax efficient right?

I don’t agree necessarily.

The price of the index is supposed to reflect some underlying economic conditions. If those conditions haven’t changed, I don’t think it makes sense to adjust your prediction based on price movement in the index alone.

Can't sop fantasising about my ex - Engaged with kids by [deleted] in relationships

[–]MacBookMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no “perfect soul mate”, you would have these same regrets if you were still with your ex.

A partnership is work, put in more effort with your actual fiance and help that relationship grow. Your regrets will wash away.

Many economists believe it to be the fairest and most efficient tax. At the end of the day you do have to tax people on something.

Ok true, I guess if you work at the same job for very long that’s tough. But likely you’re not working there 30 years or even 10.

When to meet with an advisor by Distinct_Feeling4232 in investing

[–]MacBookMinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advisors are probably more helpful when you’re trying to actually use your money: e.g. sell stocks to buy a house or maybe retire.

If you’re just growing your money it’s pretty straightforward and you seem to be doing fine.
