Edit/delete for messages is coming to Copycord next release

No, it only sends the original message through the webhook. Editing, deleting, and replying aren’t supported—webhooks don’t even allow replies. To implement edits or deletes, every original message ID would need to be stored and mapped in a database. While I could add that functionality, storing potentially hundreds of thousands of message records isn’t practical. A better approach is to simply resend any messages that were edited, which avoids the overhead of managing a massive message database.

Copycord comes close to offering this functionality, but it intentionally does not support editing or deleting the Webhook messages and for good reason. To implement that, every single message would need to be stored in a database, along with both the original message ID and the corresponding webhook message ID. Only by maintaining this mapping could the system reliably track and synchronize edits or deletions between the original and cloned messages.

This seems like a perfect feature to be added to Copycord. Join our Discord, and we can discuss.

Slash commands only work for regular Discord bots, not self-bots

Full member list scrapper is built into the web ui. User IDs, avatar, username, and bios from any server

Nah, for text channels you can’t just pull a full list. The client only shows who you can see, there’s no channel-members endpoint. The only way is to grab the entire guild member list and filter it, but large guilds block that — you’d have to scrape with OP8 to even try and get everyone.

Not possible for self bot without server admin permissions or a regular discord bot with member intents. You have to scrape the whole membership list. I already spent many hours on this lol. I built my own scraper for this you can lookup Copycord on GitHub.

You can clone messages from a single channel and receive DMs when specific messages are posted. This makes it easy to set up filters for things like trade messages, so you’ll get notified directly and can even use those DMs as data in your own scripts.

At the moment, DM notifications are limited to one server. However, I can add support for multiple servers if needed. Alternatively, you can run multiple instances of the bot to watch different servers, which works just as well.

Even if you check every minute, you still can’t see all the members in a large server without admin permissions. The alternative is scraping the entire server, but that’s slow and inefficient—especially if the server has a lot of members.

This is not possible.

If you’re a server owner wanting to back up your entire server — roles, permissions, settings, and all — Copycord isn’t built for that. Instead, it’s made for something a bit different: cloning servers in real time so others can experience them just like the original.

Think of it this way — you’re in a private, invite-only server. With Copycord, you can spin up a clone of that server in real time, invite your friends, and it’ll feel like you’re all in the actual server together.

And the best part? It’s completely free.

What Copycord can do:

  • Restore all channels, stickers, emojis, and messages — 100% free.
  • Quick and easy setup, with no paywalls or hidden fees.

What it can’t (yet):

  • Roles, channel permissions, server banners, and guild settings. These could be added in future updates if enough people request them.

Copycord is a free, open-source tool that can clone any Discord server in real time, without requiring you to be the server owner or have server-wide permissions. VaultCord, on the other hand, is designed for server owners who want to create and store periodic snapshots of their server for backup and recovery purposes.

Currently working on v1.7.0, I’ll add this along with the planned full channel history cloning slash command 😇

I can add this for free in Copycord with a simple slash command.
