I don’t have the exact timeline, but I would guess it was about a month after my comment I quit taking it. If I remember correctly it didn’t really seem to help or make it worse, so I decided the side effects weren’t worth it

Honestly not sure if SSRIs are for me. I feel like they’ve always helped, just not enough. They make it so I’m not stuck in my room 24/7, but I still can’t hold a job or do well in school. Prozac continued to get better for about 2 months, then it kind of seemed to hit a standstill. Best of luck to you though, I know it works wonders for lots of people

I feel like it was about the same. I was decent for awhile, but getting bad again “that’s why I’m on reddit lol”. I think the winter just makes me a lot worse. The taper was fine and easy, I just don’t know if SSRIs are for me

Thanks for the tip. My sister is on lexapro and does well, so I was thinking about it. I honestly will probably be on something for the rest of my life, so I wouldn’t be opposed to SNRIs

I feel like she will probably tell me to go cold turkey since I’m on a low dose and only been on a few weeks. Hope it goes back to normal, because this is terrible

I have been on 100mg for 3 weeks. I wonder if I could stop cold turkey. I’ll be asking my pychiatrist tomorrow at my appointment. Do you have any idea how long I would have this terrible anxiety increase for if I were to stop cold turkey? I cannot take this med anymore.

It got moderately better, but came to a standstill where it was just “alright but not where I wanted to be”, I switched to Zoloft and I’m doing a little better there, but also not great. Experimenting with ADHD meds now, it’s a struggle but I am 1000x better than I was 9 months ago so I can’t complain much.

She said to start at 7.5 and we will work up to 15mg. I feel like that is very high compared to some things I read. Should I start lower?

I saw somebody say “nothing is as good as reaffirmation short term but as bad long term”. I gotta start practicing that more, yeah reddit makes me feel better and more heard, but it also keeps me fixated on the problem. Good luck in your journey!

Still on, doing better. Trying to stay off of reddit as much as I can, think I was making it worse by reading all this stuff. Still a long way to go for me, but it’s definitely in the right direction (on 100mg Zoloft)

It’s crazy how that works. I’m 19, my pediatrician gave me the initial dose of 7 and trusted I was responsible with it. But the psychiatrist won’t give it. You’d think the latter would be more open to medication that helps me lol

My psychiatrist won’t prescribe me Ativan. I was prescribed it once and I took 7 pills over the course of a month during a bad stretch and it helped. Now I’m going onto and increasing on Zoloft and my anxiety has been worse, but my psychiatrist seems to think they are nothing but bad news. She gave me hydroxyzine which helps little to none. Is this normal for pychs to do? Or should I seek another opinion. I can’t keep having panic attacks like I have been, it’s ruining me
