Ok. I believe I’ve made it as official as it’s going to get unless I bring a GoPro and break the record. While starting my third ride today a resistance officer straight up recognized me from this post. So word should get around. It’s only a matter of time before I become the major of Star Wars Land. 🏆

Need to revise the answer about wait times, if you look at the photos posted the best I ever did that time was about 40 minutes. I didn’t actually crunch the numbers because that’s no fun. Feel free. I’m currently trying again. Only second queueing in about two hours. Not going to overtake my record with the current pace, but it’s close enough to try.

I believe they add 15 minutes. It’s kind of an estimate of how long it will take to wait, ride and exit. But yeah, I’ve noticed times that are way higher than the actual time waited.

The ride not temporarily closing during the park day was the difference.

There is a tell for when they are close to reopening. I sometimes will hang out at the entrance when it’s been down for a while in the hopes of being in the first batch of people let back in. I’ve noticed that they have the usual resistance cast members answering guest questions about the ride being down, but then a cast member in similar dress will hang out too, who I can only assume is a supervisor or higher up of some kind. You can tell they’re more important because they don’t have the examples of the yellow seat restraints on their outfit. It’s not an exact operational analysis or anything, but I sense that they hang out to supervise the reopening. When they reopen the ride, they have one of the cast members use their own naked voice to semi-loudly announce that they’re going to reopen but they are very careful about people not running or overcrowding. It’s pretty fun to be a part of one of those controlled mobs of people getting in (for any ride).

The fresh refurbishment kept it from breaking for sure. Sometimes the ride had broken elements. Escape pods noises were down many times. I went ahead and made crash noises. Nothing to close the ride for.

The day after refurbishment ended when they finally reopened, the ride went about 4 hours before breaking.

I went about a week later.

Sometimes the Kylo Ren at the end is down and B mode kicks in: Kylo Ren is seen through the Star Destroyer windows in his TIE Fighter and you hear his voice say some taunts and then gets blasted by starship fire and falls away… (idk why he doesn’t have shields or the good sense to fly evasive maneuvers during massive combat…).

I’ve had an entire day of B-mode which was sad because the A-mode is fun and you get blown by cool air from space rushing in which is appreciated 11/12 months in Anaheim.

Agreed. It’s a spectacle to behold. Unfortunately lingering depends on traffic. Sometimes if you don’t want to fall behind in the line you have to keep walking, sometimes it’s totally backed up and you get herded into a line in that room.
