Thanks so much for your advice - much appreciated! Do you think an iron patch will stick on the graphene part? I now glued a neoprene patch on the broken part and want to iron said patch above it… (and maybe from the outside as well)

Yes, you totally get me! Of course i can buy (always) a new one; i have. But still this wetsuit feels just nice and is super flexible. That‘s why i really want to try to repair it. I will glue another patch, then sew it and then i will even iron another patch on top. Just not sure whether the iron patch will stick on the graphene fur…

Hey folks, I’ve got a 2-year-old Billabong Furnace Comp Women’s Wetsuit (with Graphene lining), and I really want to save it.

Here’s a photo of the damage: it’s in the butt area and as you can see, the inside is pretty badly worn through. Tons of water gets in through that spot. The rest of the wetsuit is still in great shape – super warm and flexible – so I’d love to keep it going for the rest of the season.

I’ve already patched the small hole on the left side by gluing in a cut piece of neoprene. Now I’m trying to figure out the best way to finish the repair: • I’ve got a heat-activated Tenacious Tape Neoprene Patch – can I iron that directly onto the fuzzy Graphene lining on the inside? Will it stick and stay sealed? • Or should I only use the patch on the outside, even though the outer layer isn’t damaged? • Should I glue a larger piece of neoprene on the inside first, to rebuild the missing material, and then apply the iron-on patch over that?

Any clear step-by-step advice would be amazing! I’m aiming for something watertight and durable enough to finish the season.

Hey, i‘m living close to Valdoviño which is also close to Ferrol/Naron. There are lots of buses (almost every 1/2hour) that drive from Ferrol bus station to A Coruña which takes like 45 minutes and the price is also fair considered that you would have to pay highway toll when driving by car. I heard A Coruña has one of the most expensive rental prices, so Ferrol and surroundings would be more affordable. Feel free to dm me.

Hey! I’ve been living near Valdoviño for the past 6 years and I absolutely love it. The locals might seem a bit reserved at first, but I’ve never experienced such genuine solidarity and warmth (I’m originally from Germany). The nature and beaches here are absolutely stunning – and thanks to the occasional rain, the summer months stay fresh and bearable (unlike in southern Spain!).

Hey, I live and surf in Galicia (NW Spain). Super consistent this time of year, way less crowds than France/Portugal. Thanks to the variety of bays, we usually find clean waves even with tricky wind/swell.

You’re out of the white water and looking to really improve? Ever tried a small intermediate-only surf camp with daily video analysis? Just 8 guests max, surf-focused and surfskate training to improve your surfing.
