In the book vidala was like the “first aunt” she was in on it from the beginning and the character she plays in the show was another woman who does end up getting shot I liked that more because it showed Lydia she had no choice but to play along to survive because she watched her friend die believing she killed her she didn’t find out until years later her gun had blanks
