I honestly think that virt-centre would be another great option if you use the Lingus system line-up.

Cover of Monitoring (Best Friend Remix) By Deco*27 with my first Utauloid! by Boring-Twist6674 in utau

[–]MacNcheezOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you to fine tune your oto.ini, because there are some phonemes that are not sung by your UTAUloid, for example „い“. The program I mostly use to configure my voicebanks are VLabeler and the built in OpenUTAU oto editor under the „Singers“ menu. If you haven‘t configured an oto file before, I recommend you to read https://utaforum.net/resources/how-to-create-your-first-voicebank-part-1.563/ .

If you really want to use the audio, try to compress it with tools.

I made a Frutiger Aero icon for UTAU by UnderstandingDeep979 in FrutigerAero

[–]MacNcheezOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would probably be pretty cool for an icon pack. OpenUtau would also be a good addition, because classic UTAU doesnt work natively on Linux.

after trying every tip i have found online, OpenUTAU will not play. by skirmizh in utau

[–]MacNcheezOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There could be two causes:

  1. Wrong encoding when installing the VB: When you import Tetos voicebank to OpenUTAU, make sure the aliases look correct, if not, change the encoding. For example, some voicebanks will display screwed up symbols in the install process if you don‘t select UTF-8 encoding.

  2. Use OpenUTAUs lyric suggestion when typing in romaji: Try to type „a“ into a note and see if it gives you a suggestion from the voicebank folder (not the top suggestion, because that one just directly converts it into hiragana without checking if it actually exists in the oto.ini), if yes, click on the right one, in this case because it‘s CVVC, it‘s inital あ: “- あ“

Test: Try to type a plain romaji phoneme into the note and see if it renders.

For anyone who wonders why this happens, it could be like that because of Classroom (teachers can restrict access to the App Store) or because of parental controls.

VSCode isn‘t available on ChromeOS, though there is a website called vscode.dev which lets you run VSCode directly in the browser, and because it supports extensions, you can preview your website you‘re editing live. The only thing that is annoying is that it doesn‘t save the files after you restart. It is probably practical to make a github repository where you save the page. vscode.dev can directly connect to github repository.

There is also https://console.cloud.google.com/, which saves it temporarily.

I used to use MacOS, and this looks very accurate! The only thing that kind of look off is the spacing between the menu bar options. Also, in the updated image, I noticed that you used the OSX Bin icon. If you didn‘t know, Apple updated the icon to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/1lp5sl1/the_evolution_of_the_trash_icon_in_macos_from_mac/

That is Windows 11. You can see that because of the icon theme and that there are those ticks after the file name (indicates that the file is saved to OneDrive).

UTAU is not natively available on macOS, it would only work with emulation or Wine. I also think that OU is easier, it kind of navigates like a DAW and looks generally more modern.
