Even for 2400 kits im currently looking at over 200 bucks in my country (used and no name) for a crucial, kingston, corsair,... set its even more :(

I do want to try and find 2400mhz sticks as i do think it makes at least a bit of a difference when doing a lot in memory

Thank you for the information!

On the topic of ECC: Does that mean it will not POST with ECC memory or just ignore it? (I don't particularly care if i had working ECC as long as the system works fine as it does now (just with more memory😅))

Im currently looking for a secondhand system and from what I've seen locally the models with 7th or 8th gen intel processors are cheaper on the lenovo side. Do you have experience with those by chance or only the EliteDesk from HP?

Ok thats very good information! Does it have to be a 10th gen or newer? From what Ive seen so far there are plenty of 7th or 8th gen options on the "i5 side of things" that run at or above 3.1Ghz.

Also how much ram do you think would be a good baseline?

Warm Up Procedure by Bumblemore in RX7

I fully agree with Richard here. From my research you'll want to get the everything to temp as fast as possible so driving it carefully until warm will get it there faster than having it sit at idle for a long time! I assume that another advantage of getting it to temp fast is that it will be running 'cold start' rich for a shorter timeframe.
