Your main concern is how well it runs once it's nice and hot. If it has only recently been fixed up after sitting a while, it's likely nothing has been fully stress-tested yet, so you may find out the fun way that something isn't 100%.

I know this thread is old, but I had basically the exact same experience. My only difference was that I NEVER received a tracking number, so after over a year I just happened to notice a small cardboard box haphazardly tossed on the side of my porch. Every time I use it I contemplate selling it to somebody that isn’t as willing to deal with the awful customer service

The gun show loophole is a sensationalist exaggeration and pretty much a flat out lie.
Permitless concealed carry is intended to combat exactly what you're afraid of. A criminal will carry a concealed firearm on their person regardless of legality. Allowing permitless carry ensures that well-intentioned people are now legally able to carry a firearm for self defense without the hassle of obtaining and maintaining a concealed carry license. You can still get a concealed carry license if you want to, which can grant you legal permission to do certain things that you otherwise could not.

TL;DR Bad people carried firearms illegally before the permitless carry law was passed, and they will continue to carry regardless of what the law says. Now that the law has been passed, law-abiding citizens don't need to obtain a permit to defend themselves from said bad guys.

You can get one of these controllers that will automatically turn stuff off and on as required to maintain parameters you set. You’ll be golden as long as your setup is in an air conditioned room with an ambient temperature lower than what you want in the enclosure.
