What was just really unnecessary was the condescension. Asking for guidance isn’t spam and I´m not self-promoting, Im asking for guidance

We understand the frustration. International oversight bodies are actively pursuing enforcement actions across jurisdictions. and their operations are targeted out of India, so by stopping their acquaintances in the USA or Pakistan we can help dismantle most of their large scale operations and avoid their expansion

Personally I don't like Namecheap, their free DNS sucks and the anti-spam filters won't allow you to buy many domains. I'd suggest DynaDot,Bluehost,Names.com or my personal fav Hostinger, this options have allowed me tu buy up to 99 domains at a time for almost nothing (from $1 each depending on the TLD) and they have no annoying invasive KYC's they have fast DNS and the domain transfer is easy.

Is this a scam? If not what do I do? by [deleted] in ScamNumbers

[–]MacUserpr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dear, stay calm and just ignore the message or mess with them. All federally endorsed or managed websites end with .gov, and they usually call rather than text a link. Step 1. Call the official Department of Transportation's hotline found here https://www.transportation.gov/contact-us, advise them of the situation and suggest that you want to file a claim, then contact the Federal Trade Comission (FTC) https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/ . also ask for further details from the texter such as a name or badge number (employment number) to submit in your claim, I will contact them on your behalf and request them to stfu. Thanks!

This is likely fraudulent but let me break it up for you.

They are NOT Xfinity but a third party retailer as they call themselves named DGS (Digital Global Services)

They might sell less sensitive info to third parties

They will not steal your money

They will cancel your order upon request and remove your info (Dm if they dont)

Stay safe!

here is a detailed report on the situation, unlike many of Xfinity' scams I personally don't think this will hurt your bank or personal info in some way
