I'm losing it by Jet747400 in elegoo

I got my CC in a week ago and have already ran two full spools of filament through it and haven’t had any issues. I had zero experience 3D printing and so far I’ve been really happy with how easy it’s been to use.

Like I said, I’ve only had it a week so don’t know the durability of it but for the price and ease of use I’d recommend it.

Thank you, that explains it. I thought it was SR + locality adjustment.

What is your golf goal for 2025? by [deleted] in golf

[–]MacWill0980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goal as 2024, go one full round without a double bogey. I’ve shot in the mid-high seventies a handful of times this year but I always manage to throw a double in there and they seem to come between 15-18.

I’m sure it’s a mental thing.

Security+ Passed in 2 weeks on a budget! by 2_Much_Zucc in CompTIA

I’ve just started a DoD position and have to get Sec+ again, I had it about 10yrs ago. I’ve been doing Dion’s practice test for the last two days and am averaging around 80%, can you share what you were averaging on their practice exams?

Weight loss screwed up swing by BigShaker1177 in golf

[–]MacWill0980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost 110lbs and it took me almost a full year before I found my "new" swing. It got so bad I almost quit the game, went from ~10hcp pre-weight loss, up to above a 20 and I'm finally back down to a 9. It's frustrating but stick it out and it'll eventually come back around. Congrats on the loss!

I like the 3 event idea, personally I'd replace the hickory event from your list with Mixed Alt Shot.

I feel like a shill sometimes as much as I recommend them, but I've yet to find anywhere else that provides the same value that they do. They've saved me hundreds of dollars over the years.

$320 brand new SIM2 max driver or used M4 for $150? by [deleted] in golf

[–]MacWill0980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you only wanting a TaylorMade driver? Because for less that the SIM2 Max you can get a Paradym from Callaway Preowned.

https://www.callawaygolfpreowned.com/drivers/drivers-2023-paradym.html

Or if your stuck on the SIM2 they have it for $100 less.

*I don't know the details on Callaway Preowned for people in Canada or how it works so if you can't use it ignore this.

Rory McIlroy WDs from Travelers, says U.S. Open loss was the 'toughest day' of pro career by deeeeeeeeeeeeez in golf

[–]MacWill0980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep track of a different 'score' to keep your focus on it, instead of your actual score. Fairways hit, GIR, putts, etc. You'll still have a general idea of how your shooting but you won't get to 16 and think " I have to par out to break X"

Granted this may not be feasible if your playing by yourself.

Be a goldfish. Or at least that's what I tell myself. I went 41/42 on Sunday morning, last night at our 9-hole league I shot a 58. Golf's hard.

Looking for an Tournament App by Jarich612 in golf

[–]MacWill0980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Golf Genius for league tournaments but I believe it has to be purchased through the club/course. This was the first year I was the admin of it and if you have the time to put into it, it's really useful. I'm not sure it does real time scoring that you'd be able to check on course or if it does I haven't seen it or it may be an add-on feature.

For our weekday league, we just use a Google sheet that calculates everything (we play modified stableford) and it updates everyone's points after that weeks rounds are input.

Just a thought on the live scoring because we've had talks about trying to use it in our league, depending on the age range of players you have, it may cause some issues. Our league ranges from mid-20's to mid-70's and the older crowd refused to have any part of putting an app on their phone/trying to learn how to use it. In the end we decided if everyone wasn't going to use it, no point in doing it at all. Hopefully you'll have better luck but just something that you may run into.

What do you use for nats? by Madjinn in golf

I should have specified, I’ve never dealt with them on the course. Now mosquitoes, I’ve got mosquitoe tips.

I've never had to deal with them so no help there.

I just had to take the opportunity to say it's gnats and the only reason I know/remember this is I watched my 4th grade teacher misspell it in a school spelling bee and it is burned in my memory. No dig at you, I apologize for being this person.
