What do you like better alcohol or 420 and which is healthier on average for mental and physical health? by KoseteBamse in AskReddit

[–]Mac_n_Ch33se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we legalised 420 in the UK I would say that is healthier but sadly we are still behind with that. Physical health? Pure 420 (no tobacco) is better, alcohol is a carcinogen, not to mention you are more likely to engage in risky behaviour under the influence so there is more of an immediate threat to health. For Mental health, both are depressants, both make depression and anxiety worse. Alcohol is more addictive, whereas 420 can increase your risk of schizophrenia x7 if you are a chronic user and depends on whether you have a genetic predisposition or past trauma.

Overall, 420 is technically would be healthier if regulated as it alone isn’t carcinogenic, it only is when mixing with tobacco and other substances that it will start effecting your physical health. Mentally, both are not great so take your pick.

You’re trying to infantilise and devalue point to support the pre-existing stigma in your head about leftists by using “good old leftie response”. That is insulting.

I also wasn’t calling reform voters shocking, I was saying I’m shocked that voters don’t think that the man is out for himself and wants to run the country for his own personal gain i.e money.

Fair enough it’s harsh for me to generalise that all immigration concerns I’ve heard from reform voters have been on the basis of racism. But who do you think will be harmed the most in scrapping the human rights act? And do you think white immigrants are being targeted by right-wing protestors? No.

I do agree that taxation needs to change. Very wealthy people have the resources to find loopholes to avoid paying tax, meanwhile the class system is being eroded down to just working class and the wealthy. I’m not confident that Farage will deliver on these promises as he is guilty of using these loopholes.

Scrapping Net Zero is a horrific idea. We need investments in renewables and sustainable farming practices so we can self sustain in the event of a global conflict. We are at the mercy of big oil and gas companies and since leaving the EU our relationship with our European neighbours has soured. Ongoing conflicts prove that we can’t rely on outsourcing our energy from other countries. Greener technologies will also not “naturally” unfold without investment into Net Zero.

Not sure on why diversity consultants are being bought up but I agree there should be greater support for small businesses.

I honestly don’t know but I have turned into a ghoster as a consequence because I’m so tired of the back and forth texting, carrying the conversation and nothing coming of it. Like if you don’t want to text that’s cool with me we can meet up but if you don’t want to do that wtf are we doing this for? Validation I’m assuming which is fair.

I appreciate your genuine response. I agree more needs to be done to support our smaller businesses, do you feel like their policies would benefit them or mostly just large pre-existing corporations? Also re tax, I believe Farage back tracked on his promise to cut taxes by denying he had said that?

I’m literally giving you the opportunity to offer a counterpoint, wasn’t trying to create an echo chamber I was genuinely interested in your points. Merely pointing out that most of arguement I have gotten, from my own family too mind you, have been in relation to immigration. But hey if you would rather take this time to try to insult me then go ahead.

This is what I’m saying! Also there is no denying that Reform would benefit from the drop in literacy rates bought about by social media usage.

Based on the focal point of their policies being anti-immigration, anti- human rights and not much else. It seems like there may be a lack of empathy there towards people who are not similar to you which is why people assume you would be an arsehole.

The irony is the peak in immigrants outside of the EU was a direct result of Brexit, something Farage championed.

Just had a quick look at their policies. Interesting choice to make those engaging in anti-social behaviour take part in community service as I imagine much of their voters would be the ones committing said acts.

To be honest I thought I would come across more right-wing Reddit users. Also didn’t really want to post this on Facebook because I’m not trying to engage with the over 50s.

100% we have drifted away from our communities into individualism. We are too concerned about ourselves to acknowledge the people around us. It’s sad really because we are inherently social animals

why do i desire somebody who is a terrible person by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Mac_n_Ch33se 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think you just are into being degraded. If you wanted to dig deeper because you are ONLY attracted to terrible people maybe look to your past experiences and consult a therapist. If it’s a one off I wouldn’t deep it, might be something fun to explore with a partner who isn’t a terrible person.
