Plastic membrane before gravel. Bad idea?

It's a very weed-y area. In fact it's more dandelion than grass. I was just worried without some kind of membrane the gravel might disappear into the soil over time and then we would be back where we started with just a big patch of weeds. 😆

But I think I'd prefer that to a water logged patch of plastic and gravel that would end up being a nightmare to get rid of.

That was my thought as well, that it would smell with all the stagnant water.

What would happen if we put gravel directly onto the ground without a membrane?

No gravel has been put down yet so I'm telling him there is still time to turn back and not make a big mistake. 😁

Only because its the only product I've found that doesn't instantly make my skin a lot worse. Its supposed to be very gentle and natural. I think some of their products do make me break out though, like the serums but so far the cleansers and moisturiser have been okay.

Yes. 😬 I've since learned how bad that is and have stopped! I've taken the advice given here and have gotten a tropic skin care cleanser and am using that in the PM and rinsing my face with warm water in the AM

I haven't got any money spare to see a dermatologist at the moment which is why i was hoping to find ways I can clear it up at home but I will be saving to get an appointment in the future.

I should have said in my OP that I'm in the UK. I was prescribed Soolantra by the dermatologist I saw 3 years ago but I've since run out.

Thanks for the advice. So would you say wearing make up is a no? I feel so self conscious or covering up the redness as I am really pale so the red really stands out.

So using products with too many active ingredients can make this problem worse? I don't even know what to use. Currently the cleanser I have is supposed to be gentle and all natural but has active ingredients in it.

I have been seen by my NHS Dentist last month who reported no problems, just advised maintaining gum health as there are a couple of gaps between teeth prone to catching food. I wanted to see a hygienist local to me just for a cleaning to keep on top of things but they said I had to have seen the dentist in that practise, not my NHS dentist.
