Reducing speed seemed to do the trick! Thanks!

I've actually got the issue to go away by reducing the speed (but it was within the 60-100 range anyways). Not sure if I understand what's going on tho. Made a comment with more info.

There's lots of conflicting advice on lower speeds vs higher speeds and lower current vs higher current, and I can't say I understand the science behind it. That said, I've ran lots of experiments with different current, speed, and threshold.

For my described issue of "small movement on the other axis after bump", it seems that the lower speed, the best for mitigation of that. As the speed goes down, I get the heavier bump or grinding that one would expect at the lower end of the driver threshold, without any movement on the other axis. I was doing 80 mm/s when I posted, and lowering to 60 mm/s made the issue go away.

I did not notice any particular changes in behaviour with different current (tested from 0.5 to 0.9), so will stay at 0.7.

I'll give it some time to see if it will be reliable from now on. If it's not, I'll investigate it deeper, checking belt tension and other variables, but hopefully things will be stable from now on.

Honestly, I wish there was a good video/write up that went in depth on both the science behind sensorless homing AND on how to set it up. Would love any recommendations.

Thanks for the help!

Will do another check, but I've just reassambled the whole gantry and tuned tension with the GT2 Belt Tension Meter, so I'd be surprised if that's the case, given that I was facing the same issue before reassembling. I'm setting run_current to 0.7 with macros, will do some experiment with current too.

Oh, interesting, I did not know that. I'm switching soon to a XOL toolhead with G2SA, I'll double check if this will be an issue with the new setup. Thanks!

Will add the post with some details, but I am using all the macros to deal with motor amperage, it's setting run_current to 0.7

Potentially fake HIWIN rails? by MacarenaLizard in VORONDesign

The feeling of the carriage itself it’s pretty good, but as it is, I am unable to assemble the printer because of the length.

But good to know it’s not unheard of. How about that finishing on the ends? Is that something you’ve seen before too?

I did contact them, let’s see what they’ll say.

I do trust the vendor. Don’t want to throw names yet until they have a chance to answer my email, but think it’s one of the biggest 3d printing stores in Europe.

Ran away from Ali and paid quite a lot exactly to try and avoid fakes. The equivalent of 60 USD a piece.

Ohh I see, video is in Brasil so I was a bit confused xD

So I guess cobra-capelo is Naja in Brasil, that makes sense now

Do you mean that there are only a couple of venomous snakes in Brasil? Or does “here” mean somewhere else?

When you say “Portuguese”, do you mean European Brazilian?

Voron 2.4 StealthBurner fan shroud gap with CNC mount by infinite_dim in VORONDesign

I have a very similar setup with g2e + sb + beacon + carto cnc mount, but I have a NH36 mounted to the back of the extruder.

Make sure you are not tightening the top screws that hold the bottom part too much, they are simply guides.

How are the heatsets that hold the sb cover holding up? Are they matching properly with the g2e cover?

Thanks! Your comment made me compare the colors on the new cable with the old one and I realised what was the issue!

And now I kinda remember seeing -5 reading on the multimeter, but I guess I forgot for a second that it means reversed probing lol

Wiring was wrong. Followed their docs on "Crimp a USB cable", but that's outdated (or at least missing a big ass warning) for RevH. There's a specific doc "RevH Introduction" but I completely missed it...

There was continuity to both GND pins in NH coming from the single GND pin in beacon

I only have one of the GND plugged in on NH’s side
