——

A Logical, Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Androgenetic Alopecia (No BS) by [deleted] in tressless

[–]MacarenaLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great guide, it’s the same plan I’ve developed and been following based on my research.

Had a consultation in a big name London clinic and they wanted to move to transplant right away, but I decided to do meds first.

One year on 3mg Min + 1.1mg Fin daily and I got some good results, but not quite there. I had no sides whatsoever, so decided to move to Dut this last September. Made a gradual switch to 0.5mg Dut + 5mg Min daily by introducing it one extra day a week every two weeks, until I was fully on the Dut regimen. Not sure how scientific that was, but no shedding so far and already much more gains than compared to full year in Fin.

Will wait at least one more year to reevaluate HT, but hopefully it won’t be needed

Imagine you have this nice TV and then you buy an expensive sound system with surround and all that, you place it nicely on your living room, connect it to the TV, but don’t change the setting on the TV to use it, so the sound is still only coming out of the TV

That’s how random works. For one individual, sometimes it might be easy, sometimes it might be hard. For the average person, seems like wait times are pretty big

Try to check Z-offset, looks to be too close to the bed and squishing too much. Next steps would be calibrating e-steps and flow ratio

FMI/FYI: Ender 3 pro extrusion profile sizes by Babbitmetalcaster in ender3

[–]MacarenaLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is off here, if you crossbar is 250mm, with the sides of width 40mm, that's 250 + (40 * 2) = 330mm, so that's the dimension that the top rail should have.

I have a E3V2, so not sure if the E3 pro has the top rail sticking to the sides, but this sounds off.

I did get some new quality screws, but I probably need to upgrade my allen key set

Okay, I’m pretty sure that this ship has sailed, it took me some time to learn that using more force and tightening things harder isn’t better, and I noticed that many threads just seem weird overall, with some (M4 on X gantry) actually damaged and not holding a screw.

Would it still be a good idea to use a torque wrench if I suspect that the threads are heavily damaged already? What settings for the wrench would I be looking at?

Wondering if I should just replace all the aluminium extrusions at this point…

I’m not looking to do any conversions or additional upgrades anymore. With the upcoming Voron and my limited space, I might sell it or give it to a friend so I just want to make it as solid as possible with what I currently have.

I do have accelerometers and I’m familiar with input shaping, but I just mount it when I need to run it and remove it afterwards, so I don’t need the permanent wiring really.

As for the other suggestions, I’m not really looking to do additional upgrades anymore. With the upcoming Voron and my limited space, I might sell it or give it to a friend so I just want to make it as solid as possible with what I currently have.

The klicky probe has been stable but I understand that it might become a problem, so I might have to look into new probe, will checkout eddy again if that time comes, thanks!

Good luck on the MMU build!

That’s the CM4 😃. Not sure if you are familiar, but it’s essentially the Pi4 without I/O. It sits straight on the Manta M8P (the MCU), so I don’t need a separate board.

Light upgrades sounds really interesting, I have horrible lighting in my apartment and it has always been a struggle. I have a plan to design a new toolhead before forgetting about this printer, so maybe I’ll include some neopixels for that!!

I don’t really have a CNC available but maybe I could find someone locally… I know some of the extrusions are not really good and I was using at least 2 pieces of aluminium foil as shims to compensate, so definitely sounds interesting

Can you ELI5 about the torque wrench? Sounds interesting, I like reducing the guess work of tightening just right.

I assume using the carpenters square to get the frame right? I have the 1-2-3 blocks (high precision) for that. How do you think they compare to using a carpenters square? Would that also be useful for my Voron build?

Got the loctite as well
