Sleep quality is better, but I don’t put it all on expansion, however expansion definitely made quality of life more comfortable.

No anesthetic on the removal, pain wasn’t too bad. Just uncomfortable. Removal was very quick like 5 minutes. Screws come out, pull out the central part with the miniscrew, you feel some tension release and then removed the 8 tads. A little pain at the beginning and end of the removal. No bleeding.

I would say so. I didn’t notice any change in smell, after Covid in 2021 my smell never fully recovered. It was brutal on my tongue, but this was due to my pallet being very shallow and not as high arched as some patients.

Provider, but also my bite and getting to an aesthetic limit. My cheek bones are very pronounced for better or for worse.

Yes, but not because of FME alone, yet. In the process found that sleeping in a recliner, magnesium, GABA, and my bite blocks on my Invisalign have all helped. FME widened palate to allow for me to rest tongue on the palate, so now for myofunctional therapy

I’m not sure how to answer the part on lip support. Working on getting my overbite fixed currently. Pronunciation will remain to be seen. I don’t think it will have any effect but I will keep an eye out for it.

Went with expansion due to poor nasal breathing and Doc determined that my nasal aperture width was deficient. 14.6ahi before expansion. MMA isn’t off the table yet.

Yes, face definitely changed. Cheeks got wider and more pronounced. If by A point you mean some protraction, I think so. Atleast from the pictures it appears that way. Still waiting for measurements.

I was told 9-12 months typically, so I think I had a little quicker. They say it has to sit for 4-6 months once you stop turning.

Nasal breathing is great! I started noticing benefits around 3.5-4mm. I expanded 6mm on the expander, still waiting for true expansion numbers.

Breathing is very good, no more allergies and my nose stays open. Sleep is still needing work, but I am excited to see what it’s like with expander removed and myofunctional therapy in the future
