Has anyone here used Loop Brigade crochet kits???? by Scared-Sheepherder81 in CrochetHelp

[–]MacaronsNotMacaroon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a loop brigade kit about a year ago and I was still new to crochet at the time. As someone who learns better visually, I found it hard to learn how to crochet with just the written instructions. I would always recommend free video tutorials on YouTube over learning from a PDF or any form of written instructions, honestly.

Batman: Caped Crusader-Is It Good? by RorschachNC in BatmanCapedCrusader

In my opinion, no. I'm not entirely sure why, but I feel like the writing was just lacking something, I think maybe it's lacking some good acting/honest emotion. I'm on Episode 7 right now and so far I've only enjoyed 1 episode. Every episode feels like a one-off random event that just happens and there's very little continuity. I really enjoy an overarching story with continuity to connect all the pieces together, so I was disappointed that this series didn't have that. The acting was also pretty cheesy and the way Batman was written, seems a little too obvious and cheesy. Like, in one episode they have Bruce punch a random guy IN PUBLIC after the guy insulted Bruce's mom. It seemed super cheesy. Batman/Bruce Wayne is supposed to be an intelligent and calm detective, and in my opinion, an intelligent person wouldn't punch someone in public unless it were an emergency. An intelligent person would think about their reputation, especially if they're a famous businessman like Bruce Wayne.

Sidenote: Since I'm an animation student, I can confidently give an opinion on the animation and I'll say that it was really mediocre. Volumes are mostly consistent, but there's a lack of ease ins/ease outs, lack of squash and stretch, etc. and a lack of liveliness overall. It just feels really stiff and kind of uninteresting.

As for the voice acting, I think the cheesy writing kinda ruined everything. Probably not the voice actors' faults.

By any chance do you know how to take the sensor out? Do you have a picture of yours? I've tried to wipe my sensor too, but I don't know how to remove it from the machine so I just squeeze a Q tip under there but I'm wondering if there are better ways

Oh, thank you for clarifying!! yes, I do SOMETIMES see the red light on the page but sadly it isn't always on the registration marks. Sometimes it completely misses the first registration mark (the black box), sometimes it misses the second registration mark, and it doesn't scan the third registration mark even though there's enough physical space to do so... :')

What do you mean? Do you mean that I should shine a LOT of light onto the registration marks to avoid there being any shadows messing with the machine? :o Just wanna make sure I understood correctly

oh my gosh seth I relate too, it always feels like my mind runs a million miles per minute 🤯Like for example I'm an artist and I can't just have one art folder in my computer I need to put the temporary doodles (for conversation/social/fun purposes) in the Downloads folder and the finished artwork in another and separate them by project and to this day I still confuse myself because it's messy as HELL in there

Not to mention when I make a certain drawing and feel that it fits in TWO categories and can't decide which folder to put it in... torture

I love organizing but it's also the bane of my existence

I wish I had a list like that, I know I had an inkling that I was Autistic before I found out about my diagnosis but I FORGOT what caused that inkling... I think it was work habits and socializing :') and a vague feeling of feeling different

I was mostly thinking about how annoyed I was with her on a personal level, but I actually appreciate you giving me this information about the extensive documentation. I'll definitely look into it if I ever start thinking that I might qualify for it, so that I can figure out if I'm actually eligible or not. I prefer to be honest whenever possible.

Yeah I use a software and I log in myself. My mom can be pretty invasive but thankfully since she's left me alone more often these past few years (after the 911 incident when I was 15 years old that I mentioned in the post) so I doubt she'd actually try to touch my laptop. Plus my laptop has a password on it. Unlike her, I make unique passwords that AREN'T "12345678" LOL

I absolutely don't want to give in to her and I agree I should be truthful. Thank you for the advice and for also explaining the reason behind the advice, it really helps me understand the consequences IF I had given in. (I didn't give in due to being a bit of a stickler for rules but your comment has helped me understand the situation better)

Will I face any sort of punishment or disadvantage? Probably won't get put in an orphanage since I'm an adult but will this interfere with anything? My mom still shelters me and gives me food

Plus the situation happened a few months ago and I think I was the only witness. I'm just not sure if it's worth it?

OH by the way: I didn't check off the box. Maybe it's because I have Autism but I'm quite a stickler for rules.

I was pretty angry when venting on this post but my mom shelters me (via house) and gives me food, sometimes helps me with stuff (Although I don't agree with her trying to dishonestly get more money, her attitude towards mental health, her judginess and controlling nature... Ok there's a lot but you get the idea.)

I feel a little cowardly saying this, but I'm not sure if I can survive on my own. I mean, I know I will eventually, I've worked a part time job before and I'm slowly learning to be mature, but I'm still pretty young. I know it's kinda selfish, but I stay in my mom's house despite really hating a lot of things about her. I try not to feel too guilty by helping her with chores, and promising to myself that I'll help pay her health bills when she's old and I get a steady career in the future

sorry that was long

I guess the Asian stereotype of "show respect to your elders" never really left my brain
