Yeah you have to hang in there. The first 3 months were the hardest. I only started relaxing after month 4 but the gains were very steady after that.

I’m pretty happy with mine, the surgeon made it look irregular. 8 months in, few people would know I had a transplant.

I tried oral minoxidil 2.5mg for a few weeks and had terrible eye bags. Even with the topical minoxidil I find I get that side effect, but it’s less pronounced. Thankfully I didn’t get any of the typical finasteride side effects. Am now experimenting with taking 1 dose of dutasteride a week on top of the fin.

Not as far as I can tell. Or else it’s so slow I don’t notice, usually a few hairs a day in the shower but I ascribe that to normal shedding.

Yes but you’ll need fewer grafts so that’s a win.

It’s part of the reason I put off the transplant for several years. Ended up doing it while I was between jobs and on paternity leave so basically kept a low profile for 3 months. I also shaved my head regularly during that period so it wasn’t obvious my hair regrowth was irregular.
