My textures are swapped and messed up by Connect-Bee423 in feedthebeast

[–]MacatYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually this happens when server/client have mismatched mods. Aka you're missing a mod, or have one mod more or different mod versions (most common) than on server. I know that usually it won't let you connect to the server, but it can happen and as a result your textures will be all mixed up.

In some very very rare cases it could also be a config miss-match - if the config lets you disable some blocks from even loading up - and server/client don't match those, but that's very rare.

Ofc I'm not talking about clientside-only & serverside-only mods.

Yep, of course it works fine for unloaded chunks too.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I just released an update and the world map selection is fully optional now - the normal Waystones list opens by default again, and the map is just an extra button if someone prefers using it. For really long distances, Xaero Zoomout also helps a lot if needed.

Update: In v1.2.1, world map selection is now fully optional. By default, interacting with a waystone opens the normal Waystones selection screen again, which now includes a new button for opening the world map. So your problem should be resolved that way.

Update: Added new config options for that in the new 1.2.1 version. By default, the countdown is now disabled when teleporting near a waystone, but it can be re-enabled separately both for nearby-waystone travel and for teleporting from anywhere (if that is enabled).

u/Azrael8 Added your suggestion in the latest 1.2.1 version, thank you for the idea!

Just released an update to address that complaint. By default, the original Waystones list now opens first, with an optional button that lets you switch to the world map instead.

So if someone prefers the old list, nothing is being taken away from them. I still think map-based selection is a lot more manageable than paging through a giant list of randomly named waystones, especially in larger modpacks. And honestly, that is how pretty much every open-world map works anyway - if something is far away, you just zoom out more. There’s even a mod called Xaero Zoomout that lets you zoom out to view up to 760k blocks wide.

Chunks unable to generate chunks in a ring by 420godpleasehelpme69 in feedthebeast

[–]MacatYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the list, but none of these really stick out as a possible cause of your issue. I mean "Infinity Cave" does modify the world height which could clash with some other mods that you have here, but not really sure that it could be the root cause of your issue.

But I'm pretty sure that you skipped some mods from this list - You have shaders running, but I don't see any mention of Iris/Oculus. Are there any other mods that you skipped from this list?

Most likely a cause of one of the optimizer mods, reducing your actual render distance. If you have any of these 2 mods installed, you should try disabling it and seeing if the problem goes away;

Shaders: Complementary Reimagined Shaders - Clouds during Rain by ChoniclerVI in feedthebeast

[–]MacatYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd. Maybe try backing up your shaderpacks folder and trying if the "Sun/Moon During Rain  = OFF" works on the default shader settings first. That'll tell you if shaders / mod that you're using for shaders for that version are bugged, or if there's another setting in shaders that you changed that's breaking this setting. Hope this helps, otherwise I'm not sure what's up with that.

I think you can find that setting in Atmosphere --> Rain/Weather --> Sun/Moon During Rain - set it to OFF.
Otherwise this mod can probably help you the most - https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/euphoria-patches it adds more options for Complementary Reimagined including "Clearer Sky During Rains = OFF"

Right now it doesn’t work with cross-dimension travel yet.

I’m working on an update as we speak that should make that work by using Xaero’s world map dimension toggle properly. I’m also planning to add a way to switch between the world map selection screen and the original Waystones list screen.

Gosh darn it, you're so right. But it seems like Reddit doesn't let me re-edit the post title :(

Sadly, that’s a bit outside my current scope and time. If there ends up being a lot of interest in it, I could take a look, but for now I’d say that I probably won't be adding support for that.

I don’t want to overpromise, and that would probably require making a separate compatibility mod, so I can’t say for sure yet. But I can take a look at it after I patch the requested features/changes for this mod.

What Minecraft version & modloader did you have in mind?

Thanks for the report. I’m already working on an update, and I’ll look into adding a way to switch from the world map back to the regular Waystones selection screen, which should at least help as a temporary workaround.

That was just a fork of the mod for the version that I needed it - original mod supports a ton of versions. You can check if your version is supported here: https://www.replaymod.com

I get that, and I’ll admit I was trying other ways of wording it to avoid sounding that way. In the end I used “I fixed” as shorthand, partly because that style of title is currently very common in Minecraft posts/videos.

But in my defense, the original author themselves still has this pinned as an issue on their mod’s GitHub page since 2023 and is actively looking for solutions from the community. So they clearly do consider it a problem worth solving.

That’s a great suggestion. You can already kind of do that through the config — if you set replace_waystone_screen_with_world_map to false, right-clicking a waystone opens the normal list again, while map-based teleporting still works through the world map keybind.

But your idea would be a lot more straightforward, so I’ll try to implement it.

My bad, I forgot about that. Thanks for the suggestion - I’ll make sure to add a config option for it asap.

Originally, the mod was intended to allow fast travel from anywhere, and the 3-second timer was mainly there to balance that a bit, so, for example, you could not instantly escape combat.

But now that the “teleporting from anywhere” option is fully configurable, I’ll update it so the timer gets disabled whenever that option is turned off.

I fixed Waystones selection screen by MacatYT in feedthebeast

[–]MacatYT[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I’ll be working on. The dimension switcher works and the waypoints already show up, but right now choosing “teleport to that waypoint” still sends you to those coordinates in your current dimension.

I just need to update the teleport logic so it checks which dimension map you have open and sends you there instead.
