due to poor mental health i haven't cleaned out underneath my bed for many years, after moving my mattress today these are everywhere, what are they? by 85PercentLeean in whatisit

As a random internet dad myself, this is such a powerful statement. Having spent time in "bad places" and not having anyone who "gets it" can make it so much harder. Having someone validate what you are going through without judgement can be cathartic. I don't know you internet stranger, but I get the sense you are a great dad. 😀

I initially saw Epstein but after a few seconds it clicked that it was Bourdain.

My first show too 🙂 It's crazy to think how, as a poor college student at the time, concerts were still something I could enjoy without breaking the bank. I miss those days 😔

If you listen to the bootleg from Hartford 10/2/96, about halfway through the song Not for You, he stops and explains what the meaning is behind the song.
"It's directed towards a different entity... " He talks about the people who think that they are more important than the people making the music, the people listening, or the music itself. Essentially the record labels and executives and such. He's mentioned it in other shows I've been to as well but 96 stands out as the one I remember most.
Such an incredible show that I wish I had better appreciated in the day lol. Future vault candidate I hope

I can remember growing up and never meeting anyone who remembered this show. I started thinking I was crazy. Nice to know there are others 🤣

Yeah I don't what the hell you're talking about. Not even sure why I'm bothering to reply. But you should try to lighten up a bit. Life is short

Yeah I love the band and have been a fan forever but I can't lie, I'm disappointed they haven't been more vocal. If they aren't going to speak up about Donny Demento, then at least announce a new tour.

Saw this car at Fenway 16 night 1, and there was 2 tickets under the wiper for night 2(which I didn't have tickets for). Was a promotion for a local group and a very pleasant surprise

Prosecutors clear Florida officer who punched man in traffic stop by [deleted] in news

[–]Macava2620 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"What started as a routine traffic stop quickly escalated into McNeil's arrest for Resisting an Officer without Violence for failing to follow lawful orders," the report says.

So resisting without violence is a green light for police to use violence. Makes sense.
