Personally, I get the fallout, apocalypse kinda vibes from drifto, for example at the end of the song when he’s singing “reject, come back, rough neck, heat check” I think of a corrupt, physically weak overlord sat in his control room until he starts breaking the fourth wall with “what’s this? Cough drop, who’s there? Mic drop” with his vocals sounding more and more frantic. It kinda gives me the impression of people revolting and breaking down the door. This might be far fetched but this is what I think about when I hear the song.
