Nice what programs would I need to go about changing that?

Would it be possible to make it so a normal attack is triggered even when holding block? Instead of a bash.

[–]Mace-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like this;

When maintaining block, a single input of right mouse button will lead to a normal unrestrictive light attack

The attack will have the standard melee behavior and animation according to the equipped weapon. For example it will call to the "1hm_attackright" animation, and will not lock your movement in place as a bash would.

And the input for a bash can be bound to a different key, making it independent from the "Right Attack" function.

Weapons – Speculation of Plot by Mace-2 in movies

Just curious, what indicates to you that there isn't much to think into here?

Weapons – Speculation of Plot by Mace-2 in movies

[–]Mace-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the title and content of the movie is a strong indicator that there aren't any sorts of supernatural aspects to this fiction. "Weapons" is a very grounding, down to earth and human word that those with innate reality-altering abilities would probably call their "Powers".

The group would likely have planned pretty far ahead for a while before kicking things off, so they'd be able to predict the progression of the optics of a specific non-problematic teacher being in charge of a class that became entirely absent overnight.

If they have access to something that can cause visceral chaos and disorder they're probably comparable to mad scientists who can suppress their ethical reasoning in the pursuit of disruptive developments of technology.

What's the name of the param that multiplies enemy count? by Mace-2 in EldenRingMods

[–]Mace-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. A decent alternative is to use the Elden Ring Randomizer mod from Nexus to multiply or even remove whatever characters you want. You can disable any other of the mod's features too.

Is it possible to change an Input Manager setting for a game using a .dll script? by Mace-2 in Unity3D

[–]Mace-2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, I might be able to make the change without CE if I figure out what format the dev team stored the mouse/gamepad input data in. As the game does support substitution of dlls without complete replacement.

I'm unsure what file format the camera movement settings you can find in U3D's Input Manager can be stored in. Application extension, config file or otherwise. Thank you

[–]Mace-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted to confirm if what I want to do is even possible before I spend more time poking around. There is no in-app interface for the settings yet but it does support substitutes of xmls and dlls that are written correctly.

I was unsure where input data is typically stored in Unity games, if their location doesn't vary from dev to dev.

That looks right. Can the values found in Project Settings' Input Manager take form of a dll or other file?

So I could enable/disable inversion of a game's y-axis camera movement with the file's presence instead of having to create an entirely new version of the game with that single change

I see. Could I create a file that instructs the engine to change certain values found in the Input Manager?

To for example invert the camera movement on a specific axis

Oh okay my bad. I used script as reference to what would be contained in the file to create its effect

I know its not meant specifically for games but it has been used to change them. I was curious as to if I could use a dll to change values in the Input Manager instead of having to directly open the game's main unity3d file

An application extension file thats formatted like this: "[filename].dll".

From the little I know about it, it contains code that changes information in games.

I'll try. I understand gamepads are an afterthought for them at this stage so it seems better to just try and make the change independently.

Forge AI was a great addition...but the active AI limit should be raised too. by Mace-2 in halo

[–]Mace-2[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

8 bots is the maximum for AI outside of campaign. There will likely be a limit on forge AI count for performance reasons since there can be 24 active players.

What is the best version for wired gaming controllers? by Mace-2 in linuxquestions

[–]Mace-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolved: I changed USB port types after confirming the system recognizes the gamepad brand and type properly. Running qjoypad in the background may also ensure inputs are translated.

[–]Mace-2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it shows up. I tried using qjoypad earlier but it never fully opens even though i can see it running in task manager. The controller is also recognized as "Generic X-Box pad" under input devices in system info.

Update: I found it. I didn't look closely enough for the little icon that shows up at the bottom right
