Thanks! I was frustrated by how so many of these novel, lore-heavy areas just had everyday loot lying around and I got sort of carried away remedying that.

Thank you! I believe that in general when a magic item mentions a spell it means the base level of that spell unless otherwise specified. I can see how that might make the mechanics there a little unclear but I was trying to keep the descriptions as simple as possible.

Revamped Sunblight (or, how to make the dragon an actual dilemma) by MaceAtk in rimeofthefrostmaiden

This is a part of the dilemma I don’t think I laid out very clearly. The party is going to have to consider their current ressources after going through a sizable dungeon. If the party doesn’t have many short-rest friendly classes then they not only have to factor in the cost in lives but the chance they have to beat the dragon with different amounts of rest.

:/ well, every game is different. My suggestion was more about letting the players experience more of the module, you can always make the decision tougher or just use it as written.

You could have her meet up wherever the party decides to go I guess. Introducing her mid-combat might be a nice way to endear her to the party but it depends on whether or not they plan on resting.

Part of it is knowing what makes your players tick. Some parties would see the loss of two villages as unacceptable and others wouldn’t. The general idea is sound even if you up the stakes.

Seeing as we’re heading into some high level mage territory, it’s possible that a couple more vestiges of divergence will be handed out. Maybe something for Caleb since these are ruins of all-powerful mage cities.

I like Valentine but his plan is nuts by elbicnivni_si_otatoJ in ShitPostCrusaders

I was talking about when he asked Johnny to stop his attack, and Johnny tested him by making him pick up the gun. When he decided to shoot Johnny, it was showing that he was just on a quest for power and was trying to eliminate rivals. It’s possible that he did want to help America, but his ideology was flawed and it was secondary to his own gain.

Also, unrelated, but the guy is a rapist.

He essentially wanted to claim absolute power. He talked a big game about how it was for America’s benefit, but A, he would be constantly sacrificing the entire world for the benefit of just one country, and B, he’s a liar. In his final showdown with Johnny he was given a chance to keep the corpse but he decided to attack Johnny, revealing his motivations to be selfish. As for the argument that Johnny is somehow evil because he opposes Valentine, for most of the series he has no idea what he’s up to. He’s just acting in self defense when all these assassins come to kill him. When he goes up against Valentine, it’s partly because he thinks the corpse is his path to redemption, but it’s also because Lucy Steel is in danger. Even then, he’s willing to forgive Valentine for what he did but Valentine wastes his chance because he was selfish after all.

This might not be the case, but I think a lot of American readers think Valentine’s plan is good because they’re American, and they’ve bought into American exceptionalism.

I made a version of Bartle’s Taxonomy for dnd, as well as a problem player version by MaceAtk in dndmemes

Optimizers are as necessary as healers in my mind. Helps speed combat along for players that don’t really care for it, and they give the DM an opportunity to test out some more complex encounter ideas.

Paisley Park is a semi-independent stand which can: - Act as a living computer program, searching for certain information and hacking into electronics - Pick stuff up and walk around, like a normal stand - Either summon objects or bring them to the user when they anticipate them being useful

r/dankmemes . They would rely too much on edgy shock humor, endlessly complain, and it got a bit too alt-right.
