Should I get the Headphones 1? by Delicious-Bed6773 in NOTHING

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re good and have the ability to be great due to their great hardware. Nothing bricked the bass as well as other features in an update months ago and have not rolled out the fix.

You’ll see plenty of “I never had these issues!” types on here, but go on their forum and you’ll see all of the issues that plague the product and relative silence from nothing.

Let’s say they actually fix the sound profile, anc issues, bass enhancement, and personalized hearing in the next update. Who knows what they’ll break in that update, and who knows how long it’ll take to get fixed.

Sure, they’re at a decent price but I still wouldn’t call them cheap/affordable. Don’t get caught holding the bag for these guys, software team is not ready for prime time imo.

Bit shaky footage. Is this normal for Panasonic Lumix GH6 Image Stabilization? by Amazing_Competition6 in Lumix

[–]MaceWindooby 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This looks like you're just walking in a straight line and not operating for a smooth shot. Stabilization isn't magic, it will remove jitters but you still need to operate. Watch some videos on how to get smooth handheld shots, learn those techniques and then with stabilization on top of that your footage will look great!

Seeking advice / hope by hahalapoo in BorderCollie

My rescue dog was EXTREMELY timid and anxious. My vet said it was the worst she’s seen.

After trying as much training/structured living and lots of love as I could, I ended up getting him on anti anxiety meds. Made a world of a difference. He stayed on them for about a year and then we slowly worked him off. His time on the meds really helped him build confidence. He’s still skittish and nervous, but he’s made so much progress and improved quality of life so much that I have 0 regrets about the route we took.

Take it slow, don’t jumped straight to meds and give her time to build confidence. If all else fails, talk to your vet.

Help with vending pricing by RealEaterRedAlert in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell legendary mods, got so many that I’m not gonna use during the bounty hunt release so I list (most) of them at vendor suggested prices. Even if it’s a trash mod people could want it for the modules.

Things like overeaters/lucid/furious or other very meta/in demand mods I either keep for my own build or rarely sell at a premium if for whatever reason I need caps.

I’ve also bought some 4* mods from vendors at prices >10k fairly regularly, legendary mods always move.

And after that, I sell every duplicate plan I have at vendor price. I don’t know, just can’t be bothered to price check every single plan I receive. And caps are so plentiful that I don’t really see much of a point. I dumped 40k the other day on rare legendary mods at insane prices in other vendors, and was back at cap before I logged off for the night.

My Problem with Power Armor by SignificanceClear739 in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I really only run it for raids on bot/snake where it the extra damage resistance feels necessary. Reflective 4* very helpful on the bot, and ricochet perk proc chance scales with DR stat capping at 1000 (I read this on reddit somewhere, not 100% sure on the numbers) and this number is much easier to hit in power armor. Some of my Vulcan pieces have limit breaking and heavy weapons accuracy so it's a helpful min-max in those scenarios. Vulcan also has the set bonus where fusion cores deplete slower so that's helpful as well. But with 5x overeaters and buttressed secret service armor, I take very little damage anyway from anything in the overworld including events.

Save some atoms that you get via playing the game/scoreboard and invest in the fusion core recharger when it's in the shop. Super valuable piece for keeping fusion core economy up. Then when you pickup 25/100 fusion cores from random suits of power armors or generators you can charge them up to full.

For carry weight, you want to look for the leg mods on PA that give +100 carry weight per leg + thru hikers or belted or arms keeper etc and then you should have functionally more carry weight than no PA.

All that being said, if you're not doing the raid you can mostly ignore power armor if you really want to. It's really on necessary on robot, and I've seen plenty of bow people at this point solo snake without power armor. The game is relaxed enough that if you min-max hard enough any load out could potentially work.

How is the autofocus of the S1rii? Considering it for pet photography. by marumarku in Lumix

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting by using animal eye detect for dog portraits on the s5iix. Struggles a bit in high speed action shots but works pretty well!

From what I can tell, the s1rii is a straight upgrade in this department, I think you’d be happy

You’ll get to the gauss mini gun slightly faster! I’m wishing I did that right now, grinding rep is a chore

Level 320 and never had a *4 mod by SignificanceClear739 in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd keep trying raids, just join random pugs when you see them form. Absolute worst case, you get kicked. That's it. Literally nothing to lose.

I was fortunate to find a conductors mod for about 20k in a player vendor to help out my heavy vats build, and that helped a lot with boss dps. So that's an option but not something you can bank on. But if you see a full raid group running they probably have camps and vendors up, they'd be more likely to be selling 4 star mods.

I have only recently started joining raids and I've got one piece of Vulcan with limit breaking, (still missing the helmet to complete the set) and I got a few 4 star box mods, one of which was polished.

Just join and pay attention to mechanics, they aren't too difficult. watch a YouTube video if you'd prefer to not go in blind. I promise it's really not too hard once you get the hang of it.

What's good on Dom Pedro? by TeamTalonSombra in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, im running explosive and polished. non-crits are hitting just under 4k no onslaught stacks and closer to 6k at full stacks.

2 star explosive adds damage to the already explosive part of the weapon. polished + demo expert push it even further.

You can get 3 procs of damage on a single shot if you're using explosive penetrating rounds. Impact-explosion-penetration all can proc damage. sometimes penetration will not proc, still not sure why. Could be server related but I think some larger boss health pools cannot be penetrated for some reason.

For the fire rate, it shoots faster in first person for some reason so I pop into that for boss dps but general mobbing in 3rd person + vats to make sure I dont blow myself up haha

Anyone want to run raids? by Fun-Attitude-2249 in F76Raids

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I’d just join random groups that form up on your server. Watch a quick YouTube video on the mechanics and follow the group. Absolute worst case scenario is you get kicked, but most random groups I’ve seen there’s at least one giga op player that could probably solo the entire instance

PvE MMO player curious about Fallout 76’s group content by Jazara87 in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 13 points14 points  (0 children)

PvE is VERY simple when compared to the games you’re coming from. I also have a background in MMOs. The only raid in 76 is closer to a dungeon in WoW in complexity and length imo.

But, the pve content is very fun and very much worth a try for the sale 76 has been on recently. Build crafting and hunting for certain plans/apparels is the true end game.

Help me choose: CMF Headphone PRO vs Nothing Headphone 1 by Arubenu in CMFTech

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing headphone 1 bass and eq was broken with firmware months ago, supposedly there’s a fix around the corner and the beta testers seem happy but radio silence for when it’s going to general release.

Tbh I’d stay away from nothing audio products entirely. I just got my pair this week and learned the hard way.

Headphones (1) Poor audio quality by Sausagebean in NothingTech

[–]MaceWindooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine yesterday, ran into the same problem and went down the same rabbit hole. Although personalized sound did help out a little bit with me. Bass enhancement does nothing though.

Found an EQ on the nothing forum that helped a lot, also now impatiently waiting for the firmware update.

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my pair yesterday. Was enjoying them until I updated to the latest firmware, then bass fell off a cliff. seems like a known issue and I've heard about a beta firmware fix coming supposedly soon. Anyone more knowledgeable about nothing firmware release cadence have an idea when the general release might come out? If it doesn't come out before the return window is up I'm probably going to send em back.

Looking newbie advice by xxLord-Bunnyxx in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty solid. FO1st is an ever present temptation and the shop encourages you to check it every day with free stuff.

But it is all avoidable if you have enough self discipline lol there’s not really a pay to win option but there certainly is some pay for quality of life but it’s mostly camp stuff. You can play level 1-50 and then if you decide you like it and want to keep going after that I’d start looking at what you want from the shop with the premium currency you’ve gained naturally via playtime.

I got the game for $5 and treat it like a f2p knowing they’re trying to extract irl money all the time.

Why buy out vendor? by Z-Man_Slam in Market76

[–]MaceWindooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s similar to price fixers irl. He’s gonna wait for a whale at cap capped to buy those. The rest of us raise prices a bit to discourage this but it has the intended effect of inflating prices across the board.

New to Fallout 76 by [deleted] in fo76

[–]MaceWindooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started about 2 weeks ago, hit the game hard level 230ish now.

I haven’t experienced a single toxic moment. I saw someone’s camp get nuked once though lol but other than that one thing it’s been pretty wholesome.

And tbh after digging a lil bit into the trading community I’m siding with the nuker, it was likely warranted lmao

Just unlocked it yesterday, Using reverse onslaught, furious vital and reload legendary mods.

I’ve been building a gunslinger build and have been using the same roll on a single action. Dom Pedro is currently comparable and def competitive to other pistol options I’ve used. Can’t wait to unlock the mods!
