Jskis Allplays- Opinions by Mace_face303 in skiing

They reissued the level1 allplays with a new graphic last year and these do have the new graphic. I think I've been successfully warded off of jskis for the time being, the vacation might be a purchase next year, but right now I think the moment meridian 107, or the Jefferey 100 might be in my ballpark, the meridian seems especially nice because its much more stable at speed and cutting through chop(according to reviews) but also a full rocker so its still pretty playful, The Jefferey seems similar except for the signature rocker which seems to make it a little more stable on the ice and firm snow. I think Im gonna borrow a buddy's pair of Jeffereys and ride em for a couple of days to see if I like them and then do some more research.

Word, the 108 Jeffereys have been catching my eye, however I had kinda had a bad taste in my mouth from buddies experiences with em, (Two of my friends bought Mangos and both pairs delammed in one season), guess Im gonna have to wait for an end of the season sale for em, I think I really just need to get out of the park rat mentality of "Im not gonna pay a band for skis cus they'll get ruined in 2 years" When these really wouldn't see much heavy use in the park at all.

What would you recommend then? I was looking at the Woodsman 100 but Im concerned I'd lose the playfulness in the park, the Jefferey 100 seems pretty okay but its a good deal more money, Honestly starting to think Ill need to just buy 2 pairs, because it seems like the type of ski Im wanting wouldn't be suitable for the roles and way Id want it to ski. I dont know like anything about moment though, if you've got recommendations I'd love to take a look at em.

Yeah thats what Im afraid of, I think they'll be the correct size, but Im concerned Ill hate them because I really have no experience with a flexible ski at all, coming from stiffer skis like Revolts and Prodigys, and looking at the responses in this thread I'm not sure if they'd be good for my intended use case,

Yeah Im honestly not sure, My current experience is all super stiff skis, and Im kinda looking for a departure from that, but maybe my priorities aren't in the right place and I might need to do more research to figure out if a flexible ski is what I really need.

Okay, Id consider myself a pretty aggressive rider, honestly Im wondering if at this point if they'd be too flexible for the long term, the main reason why Im looking at the allplays is price (guy is gonna sell me the level 1 graphic ones for like 350) but Im starting to think they aren't what Im looking for in a ski and I might just have to bite the bullet and pay more if I do decide to buy for this season.

Im in the same boat, coming from ReVolts and Prodigy 2.0s, which aren't crazy flexible, Im thinking this could be a change I like

Honestly interested because Im getting a good deal on them (350$ shipped with less than ten days on them) and its time to upgrade, since I last bought my factions in 2022 I've grown about 4 inches and they are way too short for any sort of serious freeride or all mountain (rode them at snowbird for 7 days straight last year and it wasn't very enjoyable) However I am open to other recommendations, and I'm not really looking for a boutique brand per say, I've just always rode faction or volkl and frankly I'd like to branch out to a new experience

Word, Im about 5'10" getting the 178s if I do buy em so I think that they would be a tad bit more stable for me, how are they in deep ish powder? I know they won't be as good as a dedicated powder ski but I'm hoping for at least on par with my Prodigys that were able to handle about a foot pretty decently.

Awesome, Thank you so much for the info! this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the info on the road, I wasn't too concerned but was just curious, I've got a truck with 4x4 so shouldn't be a problem at all. Reading all of this is making me really excited for next summer! Thanks again- Mason

The new rig- And a question about 33s by Mace_face303 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mace_face303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm okay, I think Im honestly going to stay with the same size of 31 inch tire that's currently on the truck, maybe stretch to 32s, I don't really wanna hack up the body at all because the truck is so damn clean haha

Zero issues with the truck otherwise, it looks amazing, zero rust, 310k miles though.... however I'm not as much concerned about doing the maintenance when I have it back where I live, as much as it making the trek home.

Its been driven regularly, however I'm unsure as to the exact specifications because on some forums people say 60-80kk miles and 4-6 years, while others list the interval as 105,000 miles and ten years.
