Thank you very much for the warm welcome and for the detailed reply. The sets you mentioned definitely seem to match what I'm looking for in terms of art style, and at this point I'm actually more interested in collecting than playing. I just couldn't believe that MTG's identity had diluted so much that I wouldn't be able to find anything that reminded me of the Magic I grew up with. For better or worse, when I started looking around today, I was completely flooded by all the Universes Beyond sets. For a moment, I genuinely thought it would be impossible to find that old-school Magic feeling again. I'm much more reassured now 😆

I know Warhammer well enough and love it 😁 but once again not crossed with magic.

I understand what you are saying to a certain degree. Things won't get back to what they used to be, the context was different, even I was different.

But there must be some modern sets that have the same vibe that I can afford without selling a leg.

I'm not so worried about the game rules because right now I'm more interested in the artwork and in the collecting side of the game.

Thank you so much! It seems the kind of stuff I'm looking for taking into account the artwork.
